Its likely Dutch Shultz treasure has been found. Likely by someone smart enough to keep quiet about it.

It's likely that gold has been found by modern military forces with access to the area.

There is buried stolen gold all over California. And just buried to keep people from stealing it by everyday people. The thing is, there's thousands of square miles to search. Rattlesnakes, cougars, bears and wolves out there also. Keeps many people from searching plus time. It takes time and research which lazy people will not do. People also have to work these days just in order to live inside and eat. No time for it. Everyone else? Happy hunting.... it's out there!!

I heard the story differently. The prospector and the potential investors went out to the spot, only to find that the river crossing had a fast current at the time, so the prospector went across first before the grubstakers, though he got swept away and died in the process...taking the secret location with him. I've often wondered and tried to figure out a basic area this happened, based on the information that I read in the book which told this story...but being a native North Idahoan, I know how fast these areas are being swallowed up as private property. We'll never be able to explore and find the lost mine now.

The ancient saying may be fulfilled, " He gave them their request, but he sent leanness into their souls." Who that reviews the violent and fraudulent means employed to revolutionize and conquer California, can look with honest complacency on the gold coin stamped with that appellation? Who that understands in any measure what makes a State, what constitutes " the true grandeur of nations," but must lament with an unusual bitterness of sorrow, that, breaking away from the high promise and beautiful charm of our youth, and abjuring the splendid destiny of justice, peace and humanity, we should be content to crawl in the dust to scrape together a little of the perishable life of the world; and to care less for obedience to those eternal principles on which the moral universe is built, than for certain plantations stocked with human property, certain harbors on the Pacific Ocean, and certain valleys barren in aught but the fiery gold! "I am a friend to gold currency, but not to gold mining. That is a pursuit which the experience of nations shows to be both impoverishing and demoralizing to a nation. I regret that we have these mines in California; but they are there, and I am for getting rid of them as soon as possible. Make the working as free as possible. I care not who digs it up. I want it dug up. I want the fever to be over. I want the mining finished. Let all work that will. Let them ravage the earth--extirpate and exterminate the mines. Then the sober industry will begin which enriches and ennobles a nation. Work as hard as we may we cannot finish soon." Speech of Mr. Benton in the Senate, January 15, 1849. -From the book, “The War with Mexico reviewed” by Abiel Livermore

those jars would be near his claim, not his house. Gold claims where they actually mined were kept quiet and well guarded or booby trapped. Find his spot, you will find his gold.

Lol any gold mines from those times around spirit lake most definitely got squad wiped in 1980 and the contents are spread across a couple hundred mile radius of creeks drainages rivers and plateaus or at the very least totally obliterated and filled in with what now would be concreted ashy mud

Everyone keeps assuming the lighthouse is the "compass" but I don't think so. I think there's something up at the Lake Park pavillion that symbolizes a compass. And the bridge is the concrete footbridge next to it. There's a culvert under it too. It's probably 200 steps to the path at the far end of the bridge that takes you down to the culvert. And then if you walk towards the road, you're going southeast. And then you stay on the west side of the highway and walk till you get to the 5th tree.

I have worked on cases with craters that were lakes long ago with hills in them that contain gold. So this man returning to town with nuggets from crater lake came from that island in the middle of the lake. The hill formation. This entire area is volcanic activity which does form gold in the bedrock

I live in Phoenix oregon and went to high school here. It has never been known as fort grant. There is a story of a paymaster from Phoenix, Arizona who mas moving his stash of gold from fort grant in Phoenix, Arizona to fort thomas in Arizona and was ambushed and killed for his $20,000 stash in the 1850s. Big money then. I can only imagine this Phoenix oregon story was based on that, unfortunately. There is one website online where you can find that Phoenix oregon described as fort grant. It follows this guys story word for word. He probably made this phony website too. Shame, cool story if it was true

See High Hay, announced it would propper gander our asses, and the intro to this, is part of it. Stir up the hate. Truth is our mysterious government, didn't want the Cherokee talking to us, because they had stories of white men being here once before, 2000 years ago. But this time we were brought as a commodity to be planted on a giant tax farm. You're not gonna guilt me. I'm tge victim here, slaving away, paying taxes on my slave wages.

@SoaringShade16 күн бұрын
Where did you read that? I think I've read everything I can find on henry plummer minus a few books, and I've never read he didn't have or stash gold. I've read that he robbed multiple people and stashed gold definitely. I'm just asking for clarification cus I was planning on doing a hike and fortune hunt through Virginia city for plummers gold since i live about 4 hours away, so I'd rather not waste my time and resources for a treasure that doesn't exist. A response would be greatly appreciated, brother.
