I just did a 21.26 on Valor Island. Things that helped: level 3 speed elixir, carrying a boulder breaker with a Gleeok horn fused to it, savage lynal shield with armor shard fused to it, five shot burst savage lynal bow, full skydive armor, realizing you can be about 1.5ft outside the ring for it to count, knowing straight dive is faster than trying to move while diving, minimizing the distance between rings, and running off of the platform and hitting the dive button AS SOON as your foot leaves the platform. Apparently carrying heavy things helps you fall faster. Might try a boulder breaker fused to a marbled goma foot and a savage lynal shield fused to the same to see if that helps.

@@bUg174 yeah, I got the idea from the Iron Boots that you used to be able to get in the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. They made you fall a lot faster. Since ToTK doesn't have the Iron Boots any more, I started testing various shields, melee weapons, and bows to see if it made a difference, and it does make a tiny difference. I was only able to do 21.50 max without carrying anything, but when I added the stuff I listed it actually helped. Oddly, fusing a hover stone doesn't help. So, the heaviest fusible thing I can think of is a marbled goma leg, so I'm going to go to the Depths and kill a few to see if it makes a difference. Also, I think I'll try swapping out my head piece and grieves for the firebreaker armor to see if that helps, as that might be heavier, too. I don't think glide armor helps you fall faster, just give you mobility. So, as long as I can keep my foot on the gas and not let up on diving with firebreaker armor on, if the game does make it heavier, it'll help.

Alright so I tested with marbled gohma savage lynal shield, a marbled gohma royal claymore, and wore firebreaker armor, and couldn’t go any faster than wearing just a worn headband or the glide armor set. Mass doesn’t improve fall speed after all. After some practice I did get down to 21.16 though by optimizing for minimal joystick input / minimizing flight distance

I think that's just a visual bug, I haven't tested it myself.. it's probably legit but you're honestly probably better off using the grappler glitch to move around the cave faster and find all the chests instead of wasting time in one spot with one chest

Like the comment above said, I've had this visual bug happen to my inventory, mostly, where the any row of items have some sort of another row under them that's like a duplicate of the orginal row. Not sure why it does that, but the glitch does actually work, and I didn't just Photoshop it. As for if it's faster then just grappling around and finding more chests, I think this way is better due to the fact that you won't run into mobs to slow you down. And if you get the hang of it, you can make the process very quick.
