Look at the end of your Saran Wrap box. There are tabs you can push in that secures the roll in the box and makes it easier to pull out the Saran Wrap. There should be tabs on the end of foil and other wrap boxes.

Hi Karen, please see your doctor and be tested for sleep apnea. I was having brain fog and forgetting things. Also very tired most of the time. Turns out sleep apnea affects your memory and of course the quality of your sleep.

Hey Karen, so sorry your joints and back are feeling sore and stiff. I hope they are a bit better today. If not, rest more. The food you cooked in today’s video looked really yummy. I loved that you used up some of your vegetables in the second meal too. It’s great to make super filling meals as the weather gets colder, isn’t it! It must have felt really good to use some of the fresh herbs you dried. As for me, I was so tired last night when your video posted that I only watched the first half, so I finished off the rest this morning at 6.30am. We have a big superking sized bed, and so yesterday I washed, dried and ironed the duvet and all the sheets/pillow cases and the top blanket which took three washing machine loads. I was so tired when I had finished, but still made curry for dinner. I fell asleep at 11pm after watching a programme on the early career of David Bowie who is a really big music inspiration in my life. Isn’t it so sad what has happened in the places where Helene hit. I have a FB friend who lives right where it hit and he posted photos and video of the main road which ended up covered in masses of sand. A lot of homes and shops were damaged and the beach was covered in a lot of toxic debris. Fortunately, he only lost power at his home, but his house was not damaged, for which I was relieved. My heart goes out to all those who are suffering as a result of what happened. A couple of weeks ago a few places in the UK were flooded and a river broke its banks. Fortunately, not anywhere near London, where I live though. Anyway, look after yourself and make sure not to push your body too hard. Take care. 🤗

❤ Will you consider talk to your doctor about estrogen treatment? The anxiety and depression are common symptoms of menopause. Fatigue (exhaustion) and not sleeping well too. 😊

Isn´t there the option to make your stove top heating spots (where you put the pot) smaller? I noticed a few times that the pot u used is so much smaller (you can see the red heated spot)? I read that you use 20-30% more energie that way. I´m obsessed with saving through those small changes/mindfull actions. It´s all so crazy expensive out there! 🙄

I retired in August (age 63) so I have been trying to plan "me time" on a limited budget. I take chair yoga and craft classes for free at the local librairies in my area and the city offers "low cost" (@$15) ceramics or painting Saturday classes. I have done a few of those. I am also trying "gentle living" since what I finally have is time.

Hi Karen, sorry to have to point this out BUT you spread raw chicken juice on the plastic wrap box, the freezer bad box, the casserole dish etc. Got to be much more careful with that. Rip off all the Saran Wrap pieces first. Then put the chicken on the pieces. Then wash your hands. Then wrap up the chicken. Then wash again.

Hey Karen! I love the bike leaning up against the tree in the background. I am also gluten free like Rachel. Now you’ve got me checking my Target app to see if my store in MN has those Pringle like chips, 😂 The Lay’s brand are also gluten free, but Target doesn’t sell them, so super excited to check that out! Nice relaxing video with a lot of long ads that I let play out 😊 😉

If the crock pot dish was too tomato tasting serve it with rice, also rice and beans make a complete protein, good balance for a vegetarian dish. Trial and error story of my life 😅

You can pull the dried herb stems through one of the openings in your box grater (the large cheese shredding size works for most herbs...the smaller grater size may better for some tiny leaved herbs). The leaves should come off and you'll be left holding a bare stem + a separate mountain of herb leaves on the other side. Of course, the same principle applies if you have one of those flat rectangular graters that has different grating sizes. p.s. this works for fresh herbs as well. To balance out tomato heavy dishes (chili, indian curry etc), add some ground cinnamon. Lentils need to cook for at least an hour to hour and one half. In indian curries it is customary to cook them until they are completely mushy - they taste so much better that way than al dente.

I let my basil go bad in the fridge, next time I'll remember to dry it right away. Sometimes my good intentions go awry. I'm caught up on cleaning but intend on another round of decluttering. Hopeing all are having a blessed day. Those of you affected by the storm, praying for any recovery/help needed. My heart breaks for you.

when shredding a triangle or any shape of cheese; turn at an angle just a bit and it will grate much easier for you! Something I learned a long time ago as a chef in my early 20's and it was such a help to me when finishing any dish. God bless and you are doing awesome! thanks~

Yeah for meal prep. And you are right, when the weather gets cooler it´s the time for it. I´m about to make my meal plan so that I can prep for next week. I always freeze my chive and parsley. I dislike them dried. I cut them and put them in little freezer containers and then I can take out of the container what I need. Love all they way over the ocean! 💕

Karen I enjoyed watching you meal Prep. Like you say, it is good to do this to save money, waste and time. Regards rhubarb, I either make jam or chutney with mine. Occasionally, I will make rhubarb and blueberry crumble with warm custard (but we hardly ever eat desserts). Also, here is a great Broccoli and Cheese and/or Rice Noodle Soup recipe to use up all those broccoli stalks to save wasting them because the have more nutrients and antioxidants than the whole of the broccoli head itself: 1. Wash the broccoli stems and cut them into a small dice quantity doesn’t matter. 2. Dice 1 small red onion. 3. Dice 1 stick celery. 4. Dice 1 large potato. 5. Place all the diced vegetables into a pan, brown them a little in a tiny bit of avocado oil to bring out the flavour. 6. Add 4-6 cups of light broth to the pan, enough to cover the vegetables and bring to a light boil. 7. Add any green herbs of your choice (approx max 3tsp total). 8. Turn pan down and simmer until the vegetables are soft (approx 15-20 mins). 9. Purée down the soup in a blender (or using hand blender) add back to the pan and thicken with 2tsp cornstarch on a low heat. 10. You can then add either of the following: a. Any melting cheese, b. Cheese croutons with a dash of light cream; or c. Thin rice noodles for a lower calorie option.

I would remove the closet doors and then put them back for selling. The botheration of taking down/putting back would be worth it to me to forego the daily annoyance of not being easily able to access the closet completely. Thanks for showing us that it's ok to take your time and not get discouraged because a task takes some ingenuity to complete.
