for the shooter i am , the umarex komplete was well worth the buy , i shoot pest at my camp site and springers no matter the scope or mounts was holding zero , so i wanted somthing i could rely on , the rifle as well as the nitrogen is sold at my local tractor supply , have mine in 22 cal , the only complaint i have is , it louder than i expected , but to be able too leave the cylinder in there when i return every weekend and shoot is nice , i now have 10 follow shots , insted of turning my back too grab another pellet , HAND PUMPS , would be a HELL no for me , for the beginner i am in PCP $200 was worth it and maybe i get another PCP rifle in the future with a electric pump , i used it today , sighted in , very few shots , got a squirrel that i didnt want around my camper , i get the review was on total cost , but u cant knock the rifle if you've never shot it , trigger great , action great , accuracy great , noise level of the shot .. not so great for a person trying to keep it on the DL , just my opinion , the rifle not for everyone , but it is for someone

Well thanks for the comment and I did not knock the rifle I knocked Umarex for marketing as a budget friendly PCP air rifle which it is clearly not. I even said that I was not knocking the actual rifle it self in the video. I also said that the gun is well built and is pretty accurate for what it is as well and if it had a refillable tank I would have bought one myself, And that some people may like it and think it is great which is fine. But when you look at the cost in the long run there are many better options out there. As far as spring air rifles go not sure what type or brand of springer you are shooting but I own many spring air rifles and they are my favorit e air rifles and I have never had any issues with ay of mine holding zero with the right scopes and rings this is not a problem. But that is another conversation all together. If this gun worls for you then great enjoy it have fun with it and keep shooting it.

Excellent video. Great accuracy. Ordered 2 today. One for me, one for my son. Let’s be realistic, it’s not a survival rifle. It’s for killing varmits, small game and plinkng. Use loctite to tighten the screws and place a quality scope on it. Done. The trigger isn’t a Timney…duh. It’s a $200 plus air gun. Not a Weatherby. Let’s be realistic. People want more out of something than what they’re willing to pay. Could it use some improvements ? I’m sure. But that is going to raise the price. I can hear the moaning from here. As long as it’s sturdy and well built, I’m good. It’s not my home defense rifle, it’s for fun. Good grief.

great comment as well said and so far it has been doing fine other then the rear open sight floating after about 18 to 20 shots. I like shooting with open sights and that was one of the reasons I bougght this gun was to keep a scope off it and like I said in the video that was pretty much the only bummer for me. But it is a tack driver with a scope on it as you saw and I do like the gunand if they can just put some better fixed open sights on it then for me it is an all around winner. Still not a bad rifle for the price and it will definitely puch out some critters in the backyard that is for sure. I definitely have no problem using it for that and small game hunting. Hope you and your son have a blast with them.

@BravoBassin there are many nice features to this gun. To be fair I'd bet most people have these guns like I do for an occasional gopher or rabbit that needs to be taken care of. It's the perfect gun for that. No it's not for shooting 1000s of shots but truly is a very accurate user friendly gun.
@BravoBassin
@BravoBassin 10 күн бұрын
@@lanehogstad6477 So I have never said anything bad about the qaulity, accuracy or build about this gun. What I have pointed out and stated in this video and even talking to Umarex thenselves is that they market this as a budget friendly PCP which it is clearly not due to the re accuring cost of the air cartridges that you will need to keep buying. And if you just need to take out a Gopher, Rabbit or any small backyard critter in that range you can just bby a crosman 392 multi pump for $109 on amazon and pick the off all day long no extra air cattridges required or you can get a Gamo swarn DX !0x multi shot from the Gamo web site for $139 with free shipping no extra air cartridges required and both pack a good punch. And Umarex themselves told me they literally only made this air rifle at this price and design to get it into walmart so they can up sell people later on a higher end PCP air rifle down the road. So I will 100% stand by what I have said in this video. All I am trying to do is help people make a better informed dcision decision before wasting there money when there are many way better options out there. thanks for the imput I do appreciate it.

The stock screws and the 2 trigger screws I put a little red lock tight on and then snug them up so there is no play in them. This was started by the Germans and the French though, and then parts of the US state department decided it sounded like a good idea and threw their weight behind it. Russia has been telegraphing that the NATO expansion was increasingly threatening to it since about 2006. And if our politicians weren't either incompetent or malicious we should have hashed out some kind of agreement with a band of Eastern Europe as a neutral zone so the Russians weren't paranoid about us encroaching into their tranditional invasion corridors and sphere of local influence.

Home for me is Wyoming but currently stuck in southern Virginia for now. I sure do miss the west and have been trying to move back out that way for a few years now but things are way to expensive currently for me to afford to do it but I will get there soon I hope. I had great neighbors when I lived out there and used to shoot in my back yard and teach them and there kids to shoot so had no issues but that is very hard to find for sure so I understand your delema for sure. I have more Air rifle reviews coming I always try to mix them in with all my other outdoor stuff but always try to put at least 1 or 2 in a month. Feel free to ask me any questions at all about air rifles and I will do my best to answer them for sure. Thanks again for watching and the support I really do appreciate it.

@@BravoBassin we live in longmont colorado about 20 mins south of loveland. Our city passed laws about pellet guns and shooting them with in the city limits. So KZbin has become a good resource for sharing info about air rifles. I'm currently eyeing that gamo bone collector you have as a birthday present to myself. Could you possibly tell me the length from the end of the dove tail to the magazine loader? I'm looking at upgrading the scope on the rifle and it seems they may hit the magazine loader if there too long. Just trying to get an idea of length to work with. The scope I'm looking at is advertised as 12.2 in. in length. Do you think that would fit on the bone collector without hitting the magazine loader? Sorry I know this video was about the beeman R7 but I'm pretty sold on another gamo to add to the collection. Plus 10 shots just cock the barrel seems like would save you some time loading. The R7 shoots very nicely though I do have to say.

@@ryansumners3153 Yep I know exactly were longmont is have few friends that live in that area still. As far as the Bone collector it is a very nice gamo and very accurate out to 30yds shoot quarter size groups all day long at least mine does anyway. And yes the 10 shot mags are greatr for quick follow up shots as well which is really nice. As far as scopes go the distance from the end of the dove tail to the mag loader is about 3-1/8 inches and I am currently rumming a 3x9x40 AO cneterpoint on my bone collecter and that is about as big as you can go with a scope on there as there is zero room for anything bigger on it unless you want to remove the mag loader. Sucks longmont past that law kinda ruins things but this is why I do not live in any neighborhood anymore and live on several acres of land and will never live in a neighborhood ever again. I am fortunate enough to be able to have my own shooting range literally in my back yard right of my back porch. I will say that for $100 more you could get a weihrauch HW50 in .177 or .22 and thye are amazing air rifles I own 2 of them one in .177. and the limited addition 125yr anniversary one in .22. Also check out the Cometa series of air rifles from keystoneairguns.com/ I will be picking up one of these pretty soon I have seen and heard a lot of good things about these air rifles. But again the Gamo bone collector is a very nice air rifle as well and seeing as it is the holidays gamo will be having some black friday sales going on probably now through christmas. That is usually when I pick up a new gamo air rifle. Anyway hope that helps and I appreciate you watching the channel and for you questions and comments.

@@ryansumners3153 Thanks I appreciate that as I try and do my best. As far as scopes go just make sure you get an air rifle rated scope. Me personally I recommend Hawk, UTG, And centerpoint scopes for good air rifle scopes and I use all 3 currently through out my air rifle collection. Let me know how you like that bone collector after you get it and shoot it for a bit. I will tell you that it definitely has a way it likes to be held but once you figure out that hold you will be pretty happy with how well it shoots.

Cool with small targets my friend. It should not be to easy but with a HW even the smalest targets are no big problem to nail 😁 Problem is that a lot of airgun targets or pellet catchers won't last very long when using higher powered air rifles. I destroyed some of them with my HW80K in .25 cal and with ny HW77 and 97. Nowadays i buy mostly .22lr rated targets or very well made airgun targets. Looking at your video i'm getting triggered but here in the far north it's already dark again and it's only 15.30 hrs and soon i won't see the sun anymore untill the end of january. Tomorrow i'm gonna shoot but that i told my self yesterday too 😅The moose hunt was good and i shot a roe deer some days ago when i was out hunting with my youngest beagle. Love to see some HW action. Cheers my friend, and never run out of pellets...

Hey there my Friend ya I have destroyed some of the cheaper targets myself with my air rifles as well and I too tend to by ones made for 22lr as well. These targets are holding up really well so far and I have shot them with my higher powered srpinger air rifles as well and so far so good. I will be doing a review on my HW97 with the stainless steel barrel and synthetic stock hopefully soon but like you the sun is not up long anymore in my area either so trying to get the time to make a video when the light is good is tricky since I do not go to bed until around 5am and it get up around 1:30pm and it gets dark at 5:30pm. Ya I am a night owl for sure these days. Glad the hunting was good me I got skunked during turkey season could not get them to come in close enough to get a good shot on one. But that is how it goes sometimes also hunting them with a.25 cal pellet rifle so need to get them in close for a good head shot. Anyway always good to here from you my friend stay safe over there.

@BravoBassin
@BravoBassin Ай бұрын
Zero issues with the factory open sights thye work great and I do have a video of me shooting it with the factory sights as well on the channel you can check out. I actually prefer always having factory open sights on my air rifles as a back up if my scope ever fail so I I always sight them in and test them first before putting a scope on the rifle. as for the stock design the way they did the back part of the stock was so you could bag rest the back better if you choose to do that but does nto effect the performance of the air rifle at all. The hw30 is fastly becoming my favorite go to air rifle to shoot as it is so easy to cock and shoot and super accurate and a great small game or bird gun at 30yds or less. well worth the price. But I am also a huge fan of weihrauch air rifles and I own several. Anyway I do not think you will be disappointed in this air rifle but that is just my opinion so take it for what it may be worth. thanks for watching the video and the comment.

You are dead on correct. The only convenient is being able to have a quick switch out air source in the field when hunting away from home, such as a hunting trip That being said. It would be cheaper to hunt with a .22 rimfire or cost about the same if you hunted with a 9mm PC Carbine

its a cute video but for a ferro rod its much more efficient to hold the striker and pull the ferro rod back-- this throws the sparks more consistently and can be aimed-- try it and you might actually get a flame
@BravoBassin
@BravoBassin Ай бұрын
I always love it when someone says something on my videos trying to sound like they are smart but end up being an idiot. So first off, it is about the angle and the pressure you put on the ferro rod with the striker that will determine how much spark you get not wether I push the striker down the rod of or pull the rod back from the striker that is the pure physics of how the tool works duh? Second when I am actually trying to start a fire with a ferro rod which is when you want to actually pull the ferro rod back from the striker and aim it like you are saying. The reason for that is so you do not hit your tinder pile and knock it all over the place not because it makes more sparks. And last but not least if you had actually payed attention to the video you would know that I was not actually trying to light the pile of wood on fire in the fire pit in the first place because I actually said that in the video.

First let me say that I get at least 50 plus shots, I get cartridges for $10each and a person has to have a lot of time on there hands to shoot that much, I have several guns as I am sure most of them do, also you leave out some of the main points, like convivence, people who do not not want to pump 200 pumps to get a full container and there is several other things but ex people pay $1000 dollars for a scope and put it on a $500 gun, why because they can. So people spend there money on what they want and if you shot one you would realize that, so I definitely would not down a product because of what it cost.
@BravoBassin
@BravoBassin Ай бұрын
So you are missing the actual point of this video and as I have told other just like you I am tired of trying to explain it to people like you. I did not down the product and I did actually say I like Umarex in the video and even showcased one of there other PCP air rifles in the video .And I really do not care what you or anyone else spends theremoney on but what I do care about is being honest and telling the truth about there products so people an make a better informed decision. But it is exactly people like you that Umarex targeted when they made this rifle the lazy or un informed people who prefer convenience over long term cost and are more then happy to piss there money down the toilet for convenience. And 50 shots for the average air gunner is not a lot of shots it is about 20 to 30min at most of target shooting with a PCP air rifle if that. But I sure do love all the excuses all of you come up with to justify your purchase of this gun. If you own it great have fun and enjoy it I could careless.

This Gun is only $119. It’s a PCP that shoots at 1000 fps (.22 14.5grain) for the first 50 shots, has a 10/12 shot mag,loads fast,it’s very quiet (98 decibels) and super accurate. Too expensive to use for plinking maybe, but for Hunting it’s ideal. And at $119 you could buy half a dozen refills and still spend only half as much as the cheapest PCP rifle, with comparable power, not including the Compressor

And what are his own problems, since I don't understand English, rather only through a translator. I am from Slovakia - Europe. If you can, write here specifically what problems does BM8 have? I was planning to buy it, but I'm backing out since it's the first generation. I was planning to buy it, but your questions convinced me not to. But I am planning to buy one more and that is this GAMO SWARM MAGNUM PRO GEN3I 35J 5.5MM AIRCRAFT. What do you think about it? They say that it is much better made and overall better built than the BM8. bm8 I liked how it looks to assemble the system, it looks very good, but I'd rather wait for the second generation and maybe even the 3rd.

@@RZ888888 Ok so the Bm8 is a very cool super accurate air rifle and my one and only grip with it is the fact that the open rear sight will not stay sughted in it eventually floats out of zero after about 18 or 20 shots. ANd this for me is a deal break becaus eit is suppose to be a survival rifle that you can break down and fold up. And I wanted to keep it set up that way and not have to put a scope on it. Because if you have to keep a scope on it then you are not going to be able to break it down and pack it. it is very solidly built and shoots very well and super accurate the tripper needs to be a little better as well i think with a few tweeks it could be a great air rifle. As far as the gamo swarm magnum pro I can't speak to that one as I do not own one nor have I shot one. What I can tell you is I do own the gamo swarm dx multi shot and I oen the gamo swarm bone collector and both of them are great air rifles so I would assume the magnum would be just as good. I do have videos up of both of mine on my channel if you so choose to go watch them. I also own a gamo varmit hunter extreme I have had for over 10yrs and it is still going strong. I will say stay away from the gamo CFX as that one has lots of issues as I own one o fthose as well and can attest to it being a very crappy air rifle that needs to go back to the drawing board. Anyway hope that helps. thanks for watchign teh channel and for the questions.

@ Thank you for your response, thank you, and how much does this BM8 rifle really weigh? We have kilograms, but I don't mind, I'll convert it to pounds using a translator. The website states 4.3 kg, which seems a bit much to me, even the gamon pro is lighter at 4.1 kg. And it's longer. And as for the bm8, I think that as you wrote, it will definitely be better to wait for generation 2. But who knows when it will come out. Maybe for the majority of people, the first generation is still fine. Then they won't need to upgrade. I don't know...
