Thanks heaps mate. Easier way to flush power steering is to suck out the reservoir, then fill it up with fresh fluid. Start the car and turn the steering wheel left to right a few times, then turn it off. Suck the floor out again, refill, start the car and turn the steering wheel a few times then turn it off. Keep repeating this until it’s clean.

Hey mate, did you get the engine light appear after changing the exhaust due to an o2 sensor issue or anything ? I changed my exhaust to a yoshi and had the engine light pop up. Mate said it was the o2 sensor eliminator
@cassarindustries_wheelwerk
@cassarindustries_wheelwerk 2 күн бұрын
I didn’t as the bike already had a tune prior to fitting the exhaust. So my exhaust parameters were already changed as I knew I’d be doing the exhaust later. But yes, with a standard tune, it will throw the engine light on, as the O2 sensor is detecting different flow, and different emissions compared to what it was calibrated for from the factory

Nice wrk on the VY matey 👍😃 Im doing same job Inlet Manifold Gaskets (ive already brought the plastic ones( i should of brought the Aluminium ones ) for my 2004 VY Calais, car is booked in tomorrow Wednesday 16th October 2024 ! Well my mechanic is doing the job( not me ) he is also replacing water pump/ thermostat, heater valve tap, dropping the old oil & replacing with fresh oil & replacing oil filter , he doing full Radiator Flush & Back flush through heater core & block & behind water pump ! Then next month money permitting he will start on front end suspension, Fulcrum Suspension did quote as did another Mechanic in my town & they were miles apart as to what i need to replace, so now 3rd time lucky 🙏 this new mechanic a mate put me in touch with will give me a more honest quote & price ! I'm sure some Mechanics & shops think we all haven't a clue about cars & parts , i didn't tell Fulcrum Suspension that ive worked on Holdens & old cars all my life , im now 59 with a spine condition that prevents me from doing the wrk myself, its funny when a Mechanic will tell me something that i know is utter bullshit 😂 so I just simply turn my back & leave his shop ! Without another word said , some shops treat us like fools , they do it with girls / women as well , they have no shame hey , there are plenty of great Mechanics out there 👍 Just have to sort the shit from the clay to find a honest work shop , loved your video & young car guys can learn from them 👍😃 Cheers from Qld 🕺🍹

Pop the old one out with a screw driver. You may need to knock the outer lip of the seal inwards with a hammer and a screwdriver to get it to start to move outwards. Then just simply knock a new seal in with a hammer tapping around the edge of the seal until it seats flush on the back of the transmission. Maybe next time be polite and ask the question in how to do it and I’d be happy to explain rather than being and abrupt about it

The genuine ford bushes do offer much less road nose, and transmit less harmonics into the cabin. However we have seen genuine ford bushes start to fail with as little as 35,000km on them. We have seen customers vehicles running g Pedders diff bushes that have done around 120,000km and the bushes are still in tact. We only recommend them for longevity reasons. Most workshops will actually refuse to install genuine Ford bushes nowadays. However we always give the customer the choice

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but My guess would be you have stretched timing chains mate. When the chains stretch the chains they throw fault codes for the can sensors. It also can cause the engine to run lean which would throw the O2 sensor code. Very common fault in those engines see at least one a month.

I had the Orssom OTR AI as show in the video and fitted Xforce 2.25" catback exhaust. It was put on a hub type dyno and when tuned it got to 190KWrw. I note that you got 207KWrw. Does the fact that the dynos were different types make a difference, roller versus hub?
@cassarindustries_wheelwerk
@cassarindustries_wheelwerk Ай бұрын
Every Dyno is different, and every engine is different. A Dyno is a tuning tool so even 2 Dyno of the same brand will read slightly different.
@D800Lover
@D800Lover Ай бұрын
@@cassarindustries_wheelwerk - Thank you. Still, I wonder about a couple of variables. (1) I see some have a fan on front of the vehicle on the dyno and especially with a direct OTR air intake, how would that affect the performance - some don't use fans. (2) What if an E10 fuel is used, 94 Oct and naturally aspirated engine LFX? (3) The temperature, particularly if we are closer to 30C than 20C. Do these affect the output shown by the dyno and to what degree?
@cassarindustries_wheelwerk
@cassarindustries_wheelwerk Ай бұрын
All do affect it. I find generally vehicles run on a Dyno with a cooling fan infront will make a couple extra kw as it cools the air. The colder the air, the more dense the air is. The more dense the air is, the more power it will make. Hence why also vehicles run on a dyno with a colder ambient temperature will generally make a bit more power. E10 you will only see gains if the car is tuned for it. But NA engines don’t gain too much. Boosted engines run on E10 and tubes for it will definitely see gains
@D800Lover
@D800Lover Ай бұрын
@@cassarindustries_wheelwerk - Thanks. I find this interesting. You have confirmed what I thought re fan and cold air, although the fan would not actually cool the air, but compress the air and hence achieves a similar result. The thing is the question of E10 94-95 Oct fuel. These LFX are naturally aspirated engines where the extra cost of high-Oct fuel is mainly for turbocharged engines and should not be expected to be used in n.a. engines. But of course there will be plenty that swallow the line that you must have 98+ fuel. Where is the advantage there as the price difference can be significant over time. So get your Commodore VF SV6 OTR intake, cat-back exhaust, fill it with E10 fuel before getting a tune. What do you think?
@cassarindustries_wheelwerk
@cassarindustries_wheelwerk Ай бұрын
Yes correct. However the gains to made from running E10 wouldn’t be worth it. You’d barely notice the difference in the street. Plus not a lot of places sell E10. Ontop of that if for some reason you don’t drive the car for a little while, E10 goes off very quickly and crystallises which kills fuel systems.
