Bad comparison. You are supposed to slightly moisten the cloth you use to apply the wax. Because you didn't, you will never get good results. This will also help in cleaning the cloth when you finish.

If you have an older car with rock chips, cracks and scratches in the paint, and they have old white wax in them, or primer showing, then the color wax works great from 10ft away, it will make an old black car look great, it is a mess to use.
