For instance, the other Emperors: Shanks: Liberated many people and is certainly capable of destruction, but he rarely wears a genuine smile and constantly gets drunk to relieve himself Blackbeard: Destroys many things and is almost always smiling or laughing, but enslaves and entraps people for his own agenda. Buggy: is always bringing hope and laughter to people around him and uses his title to empower others, but he isn't highly capable of destruction, at least comparatively in One Piece You could say that Sabo and Dragon embodies liberation more, or that Imu has been responsible for the most destruction, but since the emperors clearly all riff off Luffy in different ways, this is a a cool balance formed around them.

Holy crap, I don't think we ever saw Luffy exchange a single word with Kanjuro. That's such a funny detail.
