Just stumbled on the channel, new subscriber. It is a lovely little fishery and I try get over there for a couple of visits each season! It’s not the easiest place, but that’s what I like about it, it’s a very peaceful place and catching some trout there is always very rewarding , really enjoyed your film, thank you 👍

Do you ever use a tapered leader and then tie on a tippet or is it straight tippet from the fly line? Great video by the way and useful hints with the dropper.

Straight leader. I only use a tapered leader when fishing a single dry, but rarely do that 👍🏻

Great video’s. Away from the synthetic flies, squirmies, blobs etc, flies I catch most on are the blue flash damsels and gold head zonkers. Keep up the good work!

Great vid mate, just came back to troot during covid. If you make a short heavy 20lb loop to loop at the end of your flyline extend one of your perfection loops so that your foam can pass through it you don't ever need to snip a loop?

When retrieving washing line with cruncher/daiwl back and fab/blob how fast do you retrieve. Can you mix it up or best fish static.

i noticed that whilst you were playing that last fish your line was wrapped round the blank. was that intentional?

Store them on foam spools - tie onto your fly line with the same knot you tie your flies on with - has never failed me 👍🏻🎣

Great video Chris! Now subscribed👍. I myself am trying to catch more on dry flies and more naturals in general. Lures generally get results but getting more success on naturals is my aim. Interesting to see you do well on them early season.
