When is he starting? He was 1st pairing with Hartford. But Abbotsford might have more skilled D.

We are so lucky to have Manny be a part of the Canucks organization. He had incredible heart when he played and he’s still grinding as a coach. Love to see it.

The tendonitis thing is crap because Petey looked good when Miller was on his leave of absense. I don`t think he has the internal drive to be the best. He hasn`t improved in face offs, skating and puck entries on the power plays, he`s regressed. He falls down more than any other player on the ice because he snow plows to regulate his speed as opposed to dragging a skate. When you get hit and you snow plow, you easily fall over. His personality is a shrinking violet personality. He doesn`t want to be the center of attention, but the Miller thing, contract, not getting the captaincy, American vs Swedish way of thinking , Allvin saying early on in his tenure that the Canucks had no super stars. The man has imposter syndrome at this time. He doesn`t believe he is good anymore. I also think he hates dump and chase hockey. It`s not a coincidence that he and Hoglander, best friends, both don`t look like the same players from December of 2024.

He was still doing better than pettersson and paid half as much. They did trade the wrong player.

It wasn't totally about those two and who was better.. Miller was toxic to the vibe of the coach and the dressing room. I don't think the organization had a choice and they did what was best for the team. It's too bad because he was a great player. Personally I think Pettersson's wrist is still healing... won't shoot, pass and is weak in face offs and struggles stick checking. Brock took over two years to recover from his wrist injury. They both aren't safe either.

pettersson got zapped by the space jam monsters when he has the puck on his stick the sexond he lifts his head he loses track of the puck its like he forgot how to play hockey

The thing is that EP40 is not playing well and has the huge huge cap hit, so his value at the moment is not great. Who is going to take that on and give back some good quality players?

I don’t understand how harman’s reasoning for Tocchet’s system not being a primary reason is that Chytil has come in and played at twice the pace. Wouldn’t a new player playing that way add more credence to the idea that the system is whats causing this?

Hughes/Hronek/MP3. Thats a good top 3 D unit. Last game Canucks won 3-0 against the Avalanche and the 3 top players involved in the JT Miller trade MP3/ Chytil/O'Conner played a combined 54 min of ice time. Considering how backed into a corner the Canucks were The JT Miller trade looks good like Drance says and the NYR took all of JT Millers contract.

We should've traded Petey at the trade dead line LAST year. Then we would be pushing Edmonton for 1st in the west with Miller still here where he belongs.

I doubt Hughes or Demko gets resigned now.. since crybaby gets 11.6 a year and is playing like a 3.6 player, should have been Petey gone not Miller..

I'm getting pretty sick and tired of all the hate directed at Juulsen. Sure, he has made a few obvious and costly mistakes in a few games but his compete level, his physical play and his development curve are all better than any of the bottom 6 D they have, including Soucy. Nobody notices when he has a good game, like he did the other night with a pair of nice rubouts on the boards to end rushes and regain possession plus a pair of very sweet outlet passes.. nobody cares. They just want to crap all over him and I for one am tired of it. He belongs on the third pair or as the seventh defenceman whether you like it or not and it seems like both Tocchet and Foote agree.

" MP3" 😅 that my nickname for him Marcus Petterson number 3 ....so glad the Defense core is getting stronger....for me Forbert and Juulesen are not cutting it for me .....

Hopefully this deal bolsters Quinn Hughes' confidence in the team and he doesn't go elsewhere. The elephant in the room is still EP40s lack of production. I say if he can't turn it around, he'll be gone by next year.

Isn't it obvious that the tendonitis is the problem for Petey. He is still bothered by and he couldn't train enough off season. His skating and shooting is clearly still affected. Just watch him closely and compare to a year ago! He can use his Hockey-IQ on the defense but on the offensive game he will have to skate and shoot with speed.
