The team’s struggles are squarely a result of this teams poor style of play! They check passively in their own zone, the forwards don’t pick up or check players away from the puck, they don’t actually check on the back-check which puts their defensemen at a disadvantage off the rush! They’re simply so concerned with positional play that they’re not aggressive anywhere on the ice - the shot totals, the lack of offense and star players struggling to score are all a result of Tocchet’s poor structure! Just watch the replays - the same structural errors every game. The players are frustrated and it shows on the score board!
