Whats your opinion on leader material and size for tog from a boat in about 20-40ft. I swear last season I used 20lb mono.
@RhodeIslandSportfishingКүн бұрын
I use 80 lb mono, usually new/old tuna line from deep in the spool. 20 is too thin for tautog

This is my favorite time of the year. I got my limit 3 days this week. All 18 to 20 inch's up in the bay. I've been using a 1-to-2-ounce lead jig head with crab in 30 ft. Water temp was 65.

This is a great example of teamwork guys. It takes coordination, discipline and the ability to remain calm with all the shit going on in this video. From light leader, gigantic fleet, broken rod and a rather large tuna any error would have gave this fish its freedom.

Looks like you had a bit of a current to have those Norwegian jigs drift back like that. Great haul though. Ran my rig out to Jeffries Ledge on the 4th out of Portsmouth NH. Unfortunately, we're in the one keeper a day zone. But we put a few 28 inchers' on along with haddock, so we at least got our daily catch.
