I heard him play in the 70s in Amsterdam accompanied by a harpsichord. I was blown away. I decided as a self taught recorder player I was never going to hit the big time so recorder became just a pleasant little hobby to play some nice tunes. I still enjoy playing.

How many weeks of rehearsal they had to go through in order to play this piece? I get the feeling that if the ensemble does not play this piece perfectly it can become utter chaos really quick

Souvent on dit qu il faut d un beau instrument pour faire de la musique et bien la encore on se trompe une simple flûte une simple flûte et une certaine virtuosité pour que les cartes soit rabattu la vie est faite d incertitude la encore on ce trompe magnifique bien sur ❤❤❤

Sin duda es uno de los grandes del instrumento. Tal vez la orquesta debiera más bien adoptar la exquisita manera con la que toca en la actualidad el Barroco...

From the photos none of them are playing the same make/model of Horn. But they have a very pure and harmonious section sound. A few strategic drop outs, and/or (I don't have a score), maybe alternate parts played? Love hearing the lower parts/harmony emphasized, supporting the lead player. Very melodic, and less percussive than some versions I've heard. Very fluid and tight on valve/note changes, as a section! One of the cleanest section performances I've ever heard. Bravo!
