Wow, same situation for me, but I’m much older. Lost about 50 lbs and developed anemia that wouldn’t get better. Diagnosed in Dec 2023 and started keytruda in January 2024. Hemoglobin much better now and waiting for second ct scan

But I think you have figured it out! Your book comes out in November so I think you hit both writing about and talking about cancer and about yourself, right on the head! (I am seeing this in June 2024). Yes I ordered my copy!

KEEP TRYING!!! Even the best books got turned down hundreds of times before they found a publisher willing to give them a chance. Don't let the rejections get to you!

Thank you so much. I recently uploaded this video and a few others I took documenting my publishing journey. I was turned down time and time again, I queried over 50 agents but eventually I signed with a publisher 🎉. My book TOO YOUNG FOR CANCER officially comes out in November. I donated my book deal and will continue to donate my full portion of the proceeds from it. Thank you so much for this comment and the support, you don’t know how much it means to me.

Thank you so much, this means a lot to me! I made this video back in Feb of last year when I started writing (to document the process, just getting to uploading them now). Since then, I signed with a publisher and my book comes out in November! 🎉 It's available for pre-order at Barnes & Noble and on Amazon, titled Too Young For Cancer. We're all making an impact together.

My philosophy in life is as long as my writings inspire at least one other human being, then thats a win for me. Giving hope to 1 person may seem like too little but its invaluable. Publish it!!❤

Thank you and I couldn't agree more. I wasn't sure how this would go but I actually ended up getting a book deal (which I donated). TOO YOUNG FOR CANCER officially comes out in Nov and is available for pre-order at Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I documented these moments early in the journey and am just getting a chance to upload them now.

You should publish. Even if your book doesn’t do well in the end it may be inspirational for people in your situation. If not then the. For the people around someone in your situation to understand how it is. Even then it’s important to have things like this for the future just to look back on and show how we once were. Go for it. When you publish I’ll give it a read.

Thank you so much, this means the world to me. I recorded this back in Feb of 2023 when I first started writing and am just getting the chance to upload them all now (they've been on TikTok). It's been wild to go back and look at these again especially since I officially signed with an editor last year and TOO YOUNG FOR CANCER, my memoir comes out in Nov of this year! 🎉 It's available for pre-order now. This comment really means a lot to me. If you decide to pre-order, would love to be able to send a signed one. If you pre-order through this link, that's where all my signed copies are available through: www.bookpeople.com/pre-order/campaign/too-young-cancer

Go for it. Self publish. Elisabeth Wheatley publishes fantasy novels, has several series going and seems to do ok. Look into it. You might do a few shorts from various chapters, loaded over a few weeks, and a longer form discussing things that either didnt get a lot of space in the book or had to be left out. Kristina Cares is also self publishing, romance novel, after 5 years going the mainstream route. (Her main thing is vintage sewing and homemaking I think). It will probably be more and harder work than you expect but as you have realized, you DO have an amazing and unexpected story. People can live longer with cancer now and some recover! Spread your wings and spread the word!

All these comments are making my heart so full. Thank you! I recorded this back when I first started writing and am just getting a chance to come back and upload them all here. It's been so surreal to watch back through them again because I did end up signing with a publisher last summer/fall and TOO YOUNG FOR CANCER, my memoir comes out in Nov now! It was definitely so much harder than I ever thought it would be but also, so so worth it. These are all such great ideas and ones I'll probably still do as pre-order make a really big impact on the book until it's published in Nov. I dropped this link a couple comments up but am going to drop it here to not just for you but for anyone in this comment section because you all are amazing 🥹. Absolutely not pressure to, but if you'd like to pre-order you can use this link for a signed copy www.bookpeople.com/pre-order/campaign/too-young-cancer. Supporting this video of all videos means a lot to me and makes me want to ensure everyone who does buy a copy here, can have a signed one ❤️ Y'all are amazing

I don't have my tests until the 24th. But 10 months ago I went to a urologist for stabbing pains in my bladder. He was very dismissive and condescending and told me there was nothing wrong with me. Fast forward 10 months. I have blood in my urine for 4 days and he was still dismissive of me. I had been to this urologist office before I realized but I couldn't remember how long ago and I remember having Trace blood in my urine at least a couple times prior. I appreciate your story because your symptoms seem to be somewhat similar to mine. All the best to you❤

I am so happy for you! ❤ I cannot wait to hear this for myself but at this stage, despite clear scans, the cancer is still showing up in my blood, so they’re telling me that it is incurable at this stage but I am going to hold on hope! 😊 I also have 10+ lesions on my liver that are looking to be unrelated but still scary! Congratulations Katie!

Sadly this just happens way too often to young women for me not to be angry. 'Oh it's just health anxiety you're fine' but studies show a man of the same age with the same symptoms will almost always be taken seriously and ran through a litany of testing. I'm glad you're not resentful, but my god does your story frustrate me. I'll work with doctors when they finally start working with me
