Just bought a base model 2025 Honda Pioneer 700-4. You can not get into a 4 seater ANYTHING for the 2025 model for anywhere close to the $13,999 price. I looked at everything and Yamaha $16k plus, Polaris is $21k plus for these 4 seaters and many of them are so long it's like a limo. try taking a tight corner with trees or a little rocky hill in one of those. I think not. I'm happy with what I know is a much more reliable Honda (although Yamaha is close) over others and at this price coupled with the reliability, it just seams to me like a no-brainer. I think it can be easy to pick stuff apart when we become tired of it and get the itch for something fresh but if I had to guess your Pioneer has been real good to you.

Hard to say exactly, but if we spend 2 weeks at the cabin and shower every night for 10 minutes or less, usually five minutes, we still have about half a drum of water left. The shower head is low flow, it uses very little water. The water flow rate can be controlled on the heater. It will use up to a maximum of 1.5 gallons per minute. Each drum will hold 55 + gallons.

Very nice! Planning on making out for next to a backyard sauna. Do you have any issues when the outside temp drops below freezing?
@ve3xtr
@ve3xtr 2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Be aware of nightly low Temps, especially in the fall and early spring. If Temps are predicted to fall below freezing, disconnect the hoses to drain the unit. I forgot to drain the unit once and the copper coil inside froze and split. I was able to solder the crack and everything was back working. To drain the unit you just disconnect the hoses and gravity will drain water from the system.

@ve3xtr
@ve3xtr 2 жыл бұрын
They are genuine honda seat covers. They are made of Cordura and have held up well over the 6 years. I got them because of the vinyl seats and the heat issue; these helped a lot, but they were pricey. I honestly can't remember who I got them from.

How exactly did you break your brake rotors like what was the offset on the rims you put on? Reason I'm asking is now I'm scared I just ordered new rims and tires for my 17 Kodiak 700. Stock offset I believe was 4.5 + 2.5. My new rims are 4 + 3. I also went one tire size larger and one tire size wider. Front 26-9-12 rear 26-11-12
@ve3xtr
@ve3xtr 2 жыл бұрын
It was the offset of the rim that bent my rotors. I have a Honda pioneer, and without thinking, I tried to put the Pioneer rims on my kodiak, not realizing there may be a rim offset issue. Just be careful before you tighten the lug nuts down that the wheel doesn't contact the inside of the rotor.

Yes we like our 2015 700-4 . Now have header exhaust tape with stainless steel tie wraps on Hondaś exhaust from manifold to just past drivers seat. ( as per review found on Utube ) this helps with the heated front seat issue / hot seat belt release buttons. Time to replace cheap stock 25” tires with a radial 26” on same steel 12” rims. May try Kenda K587 Bear Claw HTR 26x11x12. Rear & 26x9x12 fronts💥 any suggestions
@ve3xtr
@ve3xtr 2 жыл бұрын
I had 26 inch Mud Lite XTR radials on it, but they wore out last year. Very rough and noisy ride. I went back to the original size and put the Traxion Rover bias ply on. They were cheap. I found that not having power steering made turning effort difficult with the 26 inch tires. I just rolled 6,000 km on the Pioneer. I had one issue to date, a torn universal joint boot on the main drive shaft. $30 for the part but the whole rear end must be removed in order to replace the boot.

It plows snow fine with my Royal Distributing Warren plow ; however , I added a cheap $60. Cnd Tire winch , mounted on plow frame with a seatbelt replacing the wire rope winch line for ultimate performance. Which free s up my 4500lb Warren winch just in case I get stuck. Need new tires though.

I've considered a kodiac 700 to add to the stable. I have both a rancher 420 and rubicon 520. Overall they are good reliable bikes but it would be nice to have little more pep. The only thing stopping me is I just am not a fan of the cvt transmissions. There is just something about having gears and having control that adds that fun factor. The other thing is the cvts always seem to just have that drone sound as they go and have a whine and that bugs me. Honda and yamaha have old designs that need an actual refresh and that is what I am holding off for. The first one with a parallel twin cylinder engine is going to capture the market as they will finally be more competitive with canam and polaris.

I also live in Ontario. Been looking at buying the 700-4 for some time now. The trails i know are narrow and i definitely don't need to go 100km/h. How is it on the trails with 4 people in it?
@ve3xtr
@ve3xtr 3 жыл бұрын
On the trails with four people, not a problem. Four people out on a stretch of road, it won't be the quickest 0-60. All depends on what your looking for if you don't need the performance, the machine is more than capable on the trails. I'll be selling mine next year to upgrade to a Yamaha Wolverine X4 850.

100% agree. Would like to see one more gear but overall I have no issues with this. If you want to go 50 MPH or want storage. Go buy a Jeep and check the pricing vs. this. This is a very reliable machine that can do a lot and is fun but it is NOT a Jeep/Truck nor is it a tractor. I do also agree that the rollcage is a bit tall. Other than that I love my 700-4 and it does everything I needed it to do.
