Marvellous playing. However, the cultures represented by each of those instruments have music so much more exciting than some 19th century ditty. To my ears at least. Don't listen to me though, I'm a grumpy old bastard. Great playing, thanks.
@CimbalomGuy10 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing your perspective, and I must say, I agree with your observation. The cultures that birthed these instruments indeed have incredibly rich and diverse musical traditions, often far removed from 18th or 19th-century Western compositions. My participation in this event was an invitation, and the theme, including the specific choice of a Mozart idea, was crafted by the organizers. It was likely intended to provide a familiar and accessible bridge across various musical and cultural backgrounds present at the event. However, your comment has inspired me to think more deeply about the potential to explore and showcase the native music of each instrument. I believe it would make for a much more exciting and authentic expression of our shared musical heritage. Rest assured, I'll carry this thought with me into future performances. Your 'grumpy old bastard' wisdom is greatly appreciated! Thanks again for taking the time to comment and for your keen insight.

What a wonderful video! Yangqin is the instrument in the middle correct? It's cool how it seems to be a stringed instrument but played with something like a drumstick, how does that work? :o
@CimbalomGuy Жыл бұрын
Thank you, Yudhis! Yes, Yangqin is the one in the middle. Check out this video where I describe both yangqin and the cimbalom in better details :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYXTeImrfJxlo6s

Přeju ti krásné vánoce a vydařený nový rok.

- Honza Petrus
