Alternative: First use the Bissell, then do final passes with a $10 clear extractor on your wet vac. Allows hot water (140F/60C max in Bissell) without running a hose from bathroom/kitchen. That spray extractor head alonw costs as much as the Bissel Spot Clean. So, it seemed a lot easier for me for occaisional use. Plus, I can use the Bessel and the wet vac anywhere that I have power without dragging a water line. Unless you have things so dirty that you really need that high water volume. I'm going to do small bits at a time (cat trees and shelves), so I will add hot water from a thermos enough for each small section because I don't want the underlying wood to stay wet. But 2 vacs to clean. Simpler for a small spill that doesn't need follow up with the wet vac.
@AllAboutTheDetailsАй бұрын
Absolutely not a bad way to go. Bissel isn’t a bad option, however if you’re going to do more volume this is a good diy alternative to a much more expensive machine. I used Bissel extractors for a while, they definitely have their place, it’s just like any tool, the right tool for the right job. This has some disadvantages like you mentioned - the water supply line, & it’s more set up- in my opinion though the advantage of the long extractor hose & volume far outweighs any disadvantages. You can place the machine in 1 spot and do nearly your whole car, with far fewer empties as well.

@@AllAboutTheDetailsI’ve washed my Cerakote v2 1 or 2x a week for a couple months now. It is an exceptionally good coating. And I even cheated and went against the rules out of necessity on my single stage paint. IPA was spotting the paint up and hazing it badly. I’ve applied v2 over their paint sealant also just as a curiosity striking test. I see absolutely 0 difference on any of the panels. Extreme water beading, shine, and slickness. Always

I just started using ceramic coatings. I did a Pearl White Lexus. I used Diy detailing 5 year coating. I'm a outside detailing enthusiast. I had about the same time to wipe the coating with a 320 gsm low nap towel and then a then a 400 gsm plush microfiber towel. I agree with your work and pretty much everything else. Though the reason I used Diy. Because you can release it to the customer after a hour cure time. Ethos EzPz has the same release time. Great video 👍!

I had a bad experience polishing my plastic bumper covers. I'm not a professional and maybe it's just based on my car, but it took the clear coat right off the plastic. The funny think is I applied a mild finishing polish by hand and on the black plastic section of the bumper cover and the clear coat came right off. Again, maybe unique to my car 2022 Honda but something to be aware of.
@AllAboutTheDetails4 ай бұрын
Bumpers can be very touchy it’s incredibly easy to burn through even using a DA Polisher. If you use a rotary polisher it can happen extremely fast. It’s because the heat doesn’t dissipate on the plastic bumper. Anytime Im working a bumper I’m using a light polish, low speed, foam pad and the lightest touch. All of that to say, totally agree it’s a tricky spot.
@AllAboutTheDetails4 ай бұрын

So the soap don't matter ,any soap will give you that foam. I don't think so
@AllAboutTheDetails4 ай бұрын
The soap is important. There are different types of soap. There are snow foams like the one shown, and there are runny soaps like P&S Pearl. P&S won’t foam like that one it will run right off the paint. It’s all what you prefer and what job you’re trying to do.

@@AllAboutTheDetails Okay well please give me a recommendation on a budget friendly but good foaming suds. I am just a DIY'er who loves to do detailing on my own vehicle but love good foam. Some people say incredible suds by DIY, some say Chemical guys buy which one is better for foam cannon, thanks in advance for any recommendations.
@AllAboutTheDetails4 ай бұрын
@DAT-TEXAS-DUDE good question. I will absolutely help. The soap in the video is tutlewax pure wash (fantastic foaming soap) it’s $20 for 64oz and you can buy on Amazon. I’ve never used DIY Details soap but they have solid products. Another amazing soap for foam and cleaning is Carpro Reset (all time favorite) but it can be pricey in comparison. Gyeon Foam is always a solid choice again can be pricey. Koch Chemie gentle Snow foam is a high foaming amazing soap. I’m not a fan of chemical guys because they are not a good value and are just ok in performance (my opinion). Everything I mentioned you only need 1-2 oz of product for great results. So they can be pricey BUT they go a long way.
@DAT-TEXAS-DUDE4 ай бұрын
@@AllAboutTheDetails Well ,leaning towards the turtle wax brand sir,but is it great for all colors ? After the wash with that soap do you recommend spray wax for extra shine and protection. I really don't like compound wax . Lol just seems easier to spray wax it .
@AllAboutTheDetails4 ай бұрын
@@DAT-TEXAS-DUDE the turtle wax hybrid solutions is their professional line it’s really good. It’s called pure soap because there’s no additives. It’s perfect for all colors and will leave no streaking. You’ll absolutely love it. Instead of wax, you should try a product called P&S bead maker so much easier to use and the results will be off the chart, shine and hydrophobic properties. Just remember a little goes a long way there’s a bunch of videos on KZbin how to use it. You can spray it on glass all your plastics all your paint your rims everything.
