I would hate to loose the functionality of the detail hose kit. Maybe I can get someone to print an insert for the carpet tool that I could glue in and have the original detail hose end fit into that. I would probably also just attach a garden hose directly since I would only be using this for occasionally.

I purchased the detail hose kit specifically for this application. Seems like in order to go back and forth between applications would take a while to change out all the fittings and wet filter.

@@AllAboutTheDetails Swapping filters only takes a minute. If I could get the carpet tool to attach / press on like any other nozzle, that would take seconds. And I wouldn’t tie the water and suction hoses together. Again, this would be for my own occasional use both in the car and as a spot cleaner in the home.

i’m in the process of building something similar, but for the water source, I am going to use a 5 gallon keg.

I bought a push on adapter that goes to keg, that’s attached to a flexilla hose. They are common for window tinting. I’m looking for an adapter to join 2 of the Rigid 1.25 vac hoses. I don’t know why all these attachments have to be so difficult to find. Anyway thank you

But it’s still a vacuum. Not an extractor.

The orange hose is the freshwater supply line through the extractor head. The vacuum is the power plant pulling the water out of the upholstery. It is the same concept of extractor I have used at 2 at 3x the price. It does not heat the water however neither does every “professional” extractor. Compare to a Mytee, or Sandia machine.
