Don't take loop 1604 between Bandera Rd. and IH 10. The constant construction takes a lot longer to get anywhere. Cars may be backed up for miles.

To get to Austin from SA there is no toll road going down 35. Crazy to think that I haven't gone that route for over a decade. Driving down 281 from Abilene is getting so bad, it's easier to go through Fredericksburg. The Stone Oak area is horrendous as well. Well, construction has been going on for at least 30 years (down i10 from Boerne), so I think you are being a little optimistic. You could have mentioned USAA off of i10 when you mentioned the medical center. Used to live in Boerne as well (Getting ridiculously busy, having 2 high schools.). For a long time, I thought La Cantera was spelled Lockantera until I saw how it was spelled. I had just returned from learning Spanish for 2 years in El Salvador and had no idea it was actually Spanish. lol I love the Southside because it's going towards the coast. Almost bought 5 acres out that way about 13 years ago. Hopefully it'll never see a boom so some area around there can be out in the country but close to a big city.

@MickSupper 130 is the toll road that takes you from North Austin to Seguin and then you can cut over to San Antonio. Thank you for your comment! San Antonio is definitely growing!

Several of your comments about Scenic Hills were incorrect. You quoted an HOA fee of $338. That's only 1 of 5 different rates, depending on the size of your lot. Additionally, you implied that all you get for the $338 is the lodge, its activities and the pool. You also get lawn care and irrigation weekly.

How well insulated/sound proofed are the homes? Having jets fly over all the time has to be a killer especially paying half a mil or more. But thanks for putting that info out there @46:40

They are actually very well insulated. You can barely hear the Jet noise IN the homes. But, being on your back porch can be pretty loud during their training hours.

There are a lot of great New Construction Communities with larger lots and acreage! Check our Enchanted Bluff, Heimer Estates, Waldsanger and Portranco Oaks! All half acre to full acre lots with beautiful new builds!

Incredible homes. I loved the walkway to the first home. The back yard was something to behold. I'm undecided about the black cabinets. I think I would need to see it in person to decide. Great job y'all. I enjoyed the tour.

I'm always amazed people choose to live in contractor grade assembly line type homes with an HOA when they could get a home with character like Monte Vista, Tobin Hill, Alamo Heights etc. Longstanding homes that may need some love or maintenance, but have stood for over a century often, do not look like the same 3 Floorplans everywhere else, and do not have a restrictive HOA

There are still a few homes that are decent for $150,000 but you will need to drive pretty far out of San Antonio. Most of that market is gone due to increase in prices. However, there are some pretty good options right around $195,000 and up. I would be happy to help! Thank you!

I definitely don't like the model homes. Just don't like the identical looking homes or the small yards. A disappointment because I love most of the houses in DFW area. Was hoping for more beautiful homes in San Antonio.

Totally agree! They are finding super tiny tracts of land and squeezing a lot of homes on them. But, there is a market for it because I know these will sell out in less than a year! The location is just too good. :) But, there are still other amazing areas with more space between homes that I would be happy to show you!

If you are looking for homes less expensive, then you will need to go more to Northwest San Antonio. Boerne is definitely more expensive than San Antonio, but also has some of the best schools in Texas which is one of the reasons why the homes are higher priced. Thank you for commenting!
