It's too cold and the fish are too deep . I still fish not so much when it's 30 degrees out with 10 mph wind or more everyday

They are still biting good in winter

Ever since that last heavy rain they quit biting I don't know what it is

Before all that wind and rain came in they were feeding good on top for like a week. I haven't seen anything since then either. It's a mild winter so I think we will see some more soon once the baitfish get to moving around again

@lanierkayakbassfishing7950 that was a big n buddy!! Definitely feels good landing ones like that! It was 70 here yesterday they were busting top over where I was which is weird for December. Water was 50-52 degrees.

I love catching them on moving baits it's almost like bass fishing

Going from striper to trout back to largemouth and spotted bass back to trout is fun. Downsizing and still having a blast

These trout are strong man for their size they never suprise me

I'm sure they stock all kinds of fish in lanier. But the population is insanely huge and healthy. They definitely Spawn in the lake. Lanier is a super healthy ecosystem

@ I went striper fishing on Lanier with a guide and he said that they were all stockers. I guess he’s just protecting his livelihood. He wanted us to release all the stripers. We could keep the spots.
