Nice spot, one of those lanier magnums! Some big ones have been biting, I caught a couple around 7 lbs last Friday and managed to drop my phone in the lake when I was taking pics of the 2nd one. I've only gotten 2 bites so far this year but the average has been 23 inches! Gonna make sure I use my phone tether now..

Holy moly those are some monsters man. What Depth were you catching em at? Fantastic fishing there. And dang man that's a total bummer I'm very lucky to never drop mine I film all my content with it. Can't get butterfingers with that bad boy

@lanierkayakbassfishing7950 I was fishing deep but not at Lanier. The first came from Unicoi in the morning on a shad rap elite size 7 in deep water trolling near the dam. The second fish was also in deep water at a different lake in the afternoon on a storm arashi swimbait. I am gonna have my phone tethered 100% of the time now, I have a tether I just couldn't find it Friday.

Trolling. That's a sure way for a biggen especially by a dam! The biggens patrol that current all the baitfish get sucked over there

Slowing down is key. Picking apart the cover and looking for productive water is how I do it. There's alotta dead zones on Lanier they aren't everywhere
