Carol and him divorced according to the show creator, Sherwood Schwartz. I guess Mr. Martin’s three daughters had no part in his life, they never spoke of him and took Mike Brady’s last name. Marcia Martin sounds like someone is trying to say, “Martian.” Marcia Brady has a better flow to the name.
