I thought the Bradys had a washer and a dryer so why does Alice have to hang the clothes on a clothesline outside? I know what Sam did in the army. He was called Sergeant Hacker in those days and he made a lot of bets with Sergeant Carter. (from the "Gomer Pyle" show).

Why do people use a clothesline if they have a washer or dryer? One, you save up on electricity by hanging your clothes outside and allowing the wind to dry them. Two, some clothes or other items can't be thrown in the dryer; they could shrink or they are too big to fit into the machine.

@@crpsaiyan Seems that the electricity savings would be negligible, since they would have to many other uses for it in that big house with that big family. And the laundry Alice was hanging up was just the usual stuff that wouldn't be too large or shrink. I know things like blankets would be too large, but you'd take them to the laundromat where they had a super huge machine. And sweaters you hand wash and lay out to dry.

I liked Oliver. He was a fun sidekick and helped show how much the younger Brady's had matured by Season 5.

Another stupid episode. The majority of the episodes in the final season were pretty bad.

After Season One, it ceased to be about a blended family. It just became another family sitcom--that often struggled for compelling plots.
