Hey, Suave. I noticed this watch because I didn’t like the SMP HEV system. When I saw the new 2021 version, I had the same opinion as you and decided to buy the old model. Thank you for introducing the mesh bracelet video, which enabled me to make a choice that I still don’t regret. I haven’t seen your update for a while, I hope everything is well🙏

I’ve owned this exact reference watch since 2001, having bought it brand new then to commemorate my starting my first professional job. And yes, I am a big Bond fan, but that was only about 20% of why I chose the watch. Frankly, I just loved the look and quality more than anything else. I still have the watch, and it has been VERY lovingly taken care of and lightly used mainly on nicer occasions. I actually like the updated look of the current version of the model today a little better, and try to not get hung up on things or the past. But being that I have had this watch for so long, and it was my first true luxury watch, I’ll likely always hold on to it. I’ve only had it professionally serviced just one time, about 4 years ago. Partially for my light use and care of it, but more so for the hefty $600-$700 professional servicing charge from Omega. But I wouldn’t trust it with anyone else. I’ve always planned on purchasing an Omega sapphire Speedmaster Moon Watch as well for a particular occasion that has yet to come, but it will be financially tricky with how much prices have risen. When I purchase my Seamaster in 2001, it was around $1,900 before tax, and around $2,200 after taxes and fees. The same model, essentially, today is $5,900 pre-tax. 😬 Pretty crazy. But I do still love Omega, and have a whole wish list of their models, from those around $6,000, all the way up to their Chrono-Chime that is $525K. Which I’ll never own unless I win the lottery or have some crazy fortune, but I can still dream.

As an owner of both, Ap and the new Skyline, there is just no comparison, yet you do get an exceptional value with he Skyline. AS of today, a Zenith Defy Skyline is 5-6x the price less then a Royal Oak.

My only critique of the watch was that the main crown was too small in diameter. It really should have been 20-30% larger. That, and the bracelet was pretty gaudy. But bracelets could always be replaced with straps.

This Seamaster 2531.80 is just superb 100% better than the new 300 version. I really like the escape valve shape and size also the Blue dial has raised water flow and the date at the 3 o’clock position with white surround.

I got hand soap from a dispenser on my Turquoise blue suede jacket, and when I was blotting it the blue dye was coming off. Do you recommend the same instructions as above when the dye starts to come off?

This is one of the rare watches that actually looks better the older it gets. The faded, metallic light blue bezel patina and if you’re lucky to have the tritium patina loom looks awesome. What a stunner.

The watch is stunning, superb heritage, specs and build quality. But it is quite ungainly in shape / size. It's a hell of a squeeze under that shirt cuff, there is quite the gap under the lugs from your wrist and the NATO adds too much bulk. It's quite awkwardly fitting on your wrist. Sorry 😔

Thank you so much for this video! I’ve been eyeing the NTTD for years and tried it on last month and was underwhelmed by the bracelet. Simply because it didn’t fit my wrist well and didn’t hug like a true Milanese should. I looked at all sorts of options including the shorter bracelet but it seemed like a lot of work. At the same time i love the heritage model AND I have the very exact watchgecko strap on a Longines dress watch and can attest to its quality. Thanks to your video you’ve actually killed two birds with one stone, so thank you!

I don’t like this Omega ultra deep release, perhaps this watch is suitable for deep sea divers or someone who just has extra 10k for something they will never wear and will just keep it in their collection which also isn’t bad.

Omega has slimmed down this watch line a lot, it used to be available in platinum, gold, titanium, rose gold, and titanium... It now is available only in steel on steel.

It's also available in gold alloy as well for the ballers. This generation from 2019 has a rose gold and steel 2tone variant with a ceragold bezel - stunning watch. I have one. That variant wears better on the bracelet IMO

@@SavageKillaBees I almost bought an Aqua Terra with the yellow and black striped second-hand, at the Omega Boutique in Curacao. I'm glad I waited and purchased a titanium on titanium Seamaster 300. Titanium makes it slightly lighter than steel but substantially lighter than gold, a consideration for a watch I'd be wearing 24/7 and in some pretty rough conditions. After 10 years of continuous use, only the bracelet shows any signs of wear, and that is mostly on the bottom of my wrist. I wasn't sure I would be happy with the blue dial and bezel but that color blue is very understated and has grown on me over time. it actually compliments my wardrobe and tan better than black would have. I also 100% agree that the bracelet wears better than a strap.

@@pedrowhack-a-mole6786 simple choice for me, I have a lot of Gold jewelery. Just from a fashion cohesiveness point, I wanted a gold watch, and the Grey market price is criminally low for what you get. I just picked up the 2 tone rose gold Seamaster 300 and it's a heavy watch at 167g with links removed even, to my size. It's a 2019 watch in near mint condition, bought a full kit Grey for 70% off retail. That's the thing with Omega - outstanding quality that perhaps even beats out Rolex but these watches get exceptionally low priced (for the luxury) in the Grey market and secondary because that's just how it is for Omega, and that fact cannot be better for real watch collectors! I would strongly advise you don't go through an A.D to pick up an Omega. Actually I traded in my Sub Kermit for that piece and got some money back even! But is it a bit more of a scratch magnet and needs more babying, absolutely. But I'm not diving with a gold watch on! 😂 I actually like the heaviness of the watch, it's heavy but exceptionally balanced too. Any gold or 2 tone watch is a fashion piece more than anything let's be real here. The other difference other than real gold centerlinks is the Ceragold bezel, which unfortunately isn't lumed at all. I believe the bezel markers in steel are lumed. I think they can't add lume to Ceragold that's the issue they had.

The fact that the zipper ripped off of a $150 pair of jeans and the company was responsive and replaced them for free is a terrible sign, in my opinion. What kind of quality control do they have? Obviously, they are on top of their marketing, but sheesh, at least do the basics on quality control at this price point.

Fun fact about this watch. The previous model of this watch was small and had no waves this was tried on by pierce brosnan in goldeneye his first bond film. Omega didn't like how it showed on film you couldn't see the logo and the watch was too small and volia a legend was born.

Is that really true? I was always under the impression that the first Bond Omega (2541.80.00 quartz) was chosen by the costume designer, because she thought that Bond would wear a dive watch. Supposedly that's why the very first Bond Seamaster (quartz movement) is not part of the official Omega Bond Collection. I read online that only later Omega became involved with the Bond franchise and paid top dollar for Bond to keep wearing their watches. Maybe someone else can chime in and verify this one way or the other.

HOW OMEGA WAS CHOSEN BY EON PRODUCTIONS? It would be incorrect to say that the first appearance of an OMEGA Watch in a James Bond 007 movie was the simple result of product placement. When the series was revamped in the mid-1990s, by starring a new actor - in the name of Pierce Brosnan - it’s not only the characters that were renewed but also the whole costume design. Behind the OMEGA x Bond connection is Lindy Hemming, an Oscar-winning costume designer. She was responsible for casting 007’s watch in GoldenEye. She said, “I was convinced that Commander Bond, a naval man, a diver and a discreet gentleman of the world would wear the Seamaster with the blue dial.” This is how 007 will be seen for the first time, in 1995 Goldeneye, wearing the famous OMEGA Seamaster 300M Professional. What do you do with suede that has white marks from the suede being stretched and packaged poorly? I bought a suede jacket and is has those white marks. My guess is due to the leather was pressured from the seams underneath it or was packaged poorly, or it’s just old. Idk.

Is very confusing to read the second hand . Also takes to much attention from the rest of the dial , make in it annoying at times . A regular 60 second display would have been great . No One asked for that weird one tenth of a second display . Just nonsense

Amazing! I’m buying myself some suits for the new year, and I found a wonderful dear on a genuine leather suede suit for under a hundred dollars! It’s just my size, and in great condition consider it’s used, but there is a stain on the right heel hem of the pants, and I’m hoping I can lift it some, once I buy it. Wish me luck!

I have a pair of 7s. I barely wear them and they still look brand new even 15 years later. I paid $100 and probably wouldn't buy another pair....I think Banana Republic's jeans are just as nice and $40 is a far better value.

People that hate this watch they know nothing, and have wrists of a little girl. If thet hit the gym everyday it would fit perfectly. I have 43mm seamaster 300m pro sedna gold black dial black rubber strap but next yr i will get this 1 in orange with rubber strap and the brown ceramic PO sedna gold 39mm for my wife. But OMEGA is 1 of the 5 best watch brand in the world.
