2.4 GHz.... Not 32 bit float. Not an option for serious audio capture in all conditions. If we get an unfortunate clipping of the audio due to a loud laugh, clap or car(external) noise... We cannot pull the clip portion back (correct) without loosing quality / distorting on the rest of the audio.

It records two channels one at preset level and a second at a adjustable lower gain level like -8 or -10 etc, 32bit isn’t a save all sampling rate hints why they went this route

@@kevlally so yes for editing but for preventing clipping this is just a better method, but as someone that runs the dji mic 2 it’s the same as the mono with safety recording essentially

@@DrSidewayZ if you could recommend a prosumer microphone device for recording one on one interviews, which product would you choose? Tentacle Sync, Deity PR2 or Rode or DJI recorders on 2.4Hz systems?

@@kevlally i like the dji form factor and its well thought out, however i feel like the mic capsule almost sounds nasaly if thats even a work so i tend to use sennheiser mics and have them hooked into the dji transmitters so its really what you feel sounds the best. dji does quite a bit better then rode in the terms of transmission range. the 32 bit float is a aditional step, so its only recording 32 bit to the transmitters when you push the record button and not through the 3.5 mm jack or hot shoe to the camera, ive honestly not really used it i know its a large selling point but if you set your gains correctly you should be good. something i do like about the dji is the auto on receiver when the camera is turned on.

Not all people edit photos (not allowed to! ) so correcting chro..... abberat.... is out for us . Keep hold of your older models IF your a tripod user , theyre razor sharp . As is the previous model 70-200 f2.8 g ed vr ii [NOT the new fl ed vr , has same issues as this new model ! ] reason i kept both older models , theyre RAZOR SHARP, Older versions of the new junkers

1) Do you find the legs to be stiff? Do they slide out easily when unlocked, or slide in when closing it up? 2) Do you have issues with the latches being hard to use, as many have said? 3) And i heard the legs are tough to spread out. Can the bolts be loosened to make it easier? 4) can the bolt on the bottom rubber feet be tightened? 5) And how stable are the legs? If a camera is about 15lbs, would you suggest this or the Sachlter flowtech legs instead for its stability?

technically I feel it's so - so ... the f2 being more fast, quiet and precise in AF plus weather resistant, sounds like a lot of reasons and worth sacrificing one f-stop. But once yo uhad the 35mm 1.4 on your camera and saw the kind of images it can produce, I feel it is so hard to switch to anything else :D Even though I really wish especially for WR, living in the tropics :/

Personally, I use UV filters to protect from really expensive glass of the lens from salt water and fingerprints. That's all purpose of them for me.
