such a thick, dusty, throaty, growly bass tone. I'm still chasing it. The closest I've gotten is a jazz bass (apparently matt used a stingray bass for this but I don't own one) through a green russian big muff (11 o'clock volume, 9/10 o'clock sustain and tone) into an orange bass amp (10 o'clock gain, 2 o'clock bass, 12/1 o'clock treble and 1/2 o'clock mids with the volume cranked). Hope this helped some people get closer to this tone!

@joe_chill1060 ..... They had to quit trying to record with 3 mics like that, due to it being the sole cause behind 2 weeks of completely ruined sessions. The boys couldn't resist being that close to each other without making out.... I'm talking hard-core making out that involves fingers, fists and spit.... which eventually led to crushing each others buttholes and testing each others gag reflex. That would go on for HOURS and force the session to end without any work being done. So they stopped the 3 mic thing and everything was better
