Loved your video and how you break down concepts! I’ve made some similar mistakes as you did here, and your explanations really helped me out. I passed the exam last week, and I can say that even though this video is three years old, much of the content is still super relevant (note that the exam questions might be different now). Thanks a ton!

Yes the concepts are valid but if there are some new features introduced you must consider them along with this content. For eg. Restrictions Rules are new item for sharing. Changes on flow builder and additional capabilities. etc.

@letterkenny OWD is Org wide default and not Object wide Default. Also, the security pyramid is wrong. OWD comes on top with most restricted settings.
@nishantforce
@nishantforce 6 ай бұрын
Thank You for the feedback Ankit. What we are trying to explain in video is that every object have it's own OWD and never said that OWD is Object Wide Default. Yes the full form of OWD is "Org Wide Default" but this setting is uniquely available for each object and can be configured independently unless they are in a Master Detail relationship and OWD is driven by the parent object. Coming to the second point the highest control is driven from Profiles because if you have OWD as "Public Read/Write" but on profile CRED you only have Read then the user will be able to only read the records. So its always that you need both of then together to make it work. Also OWD can be overridden using the "View All" or "Modify All" checkbox on the profile. That's why the highest level of control is driven from Profile/Permission Set.

Yes most of them. I would say 90% are still relevant as they are platform basics/foundational which will not change. Some things are obsolete like Workflow rules process builder are no longer a choice of automation tools, but it's always good to know what we're they.

@nishantforce
@nishantforce Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for the feedback. As Salesforce is recommending use of only flows for the process automation. There shouldn't be any direct question about capabilities of process builder and workflow rules but it's always good to know about them and what they can or cannot do. But when given a choice and it have process builder vs flow then you have an easy pick i.e. flow.

Is it mandatory to have certification ? Can we not get a job based on trailhead preparation ? Can we complete certification after we ger the job, as we will be having practical exposure to the scenarios ?
@nishantforce
@nishantforce Жыл бұрын
It is not mandatory to have certification but to showcase that you have acquired a knowledge we can do these certifications and that validates our knowledge on that specific area. If you feel like administration certification is a big thing to attempt for freshers there is also an option to go for the Salesforce Associate exam and I would highly recommend doing that to get an extra advantage on your profile while searching for jobs.

How much time should I dedicate a day to finish the whole course in 3 months?
@nishantforce
@nishantforce 2 жыл бұрын
You generally need 200-250 hours of preparation time for the first certification which is admin certification. If you dedicate 3 hours a day, you will have 21hrs per week, 84 hrs in a month and by 3 months you have done studies worth 252 hours. If you have some hands-on experience already you can even speed up and finish early..

one business process can have one or more record types? and what is the difference one process having one record type between one process have multiple record types?
@nishantforce
@nishantforce 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, one business process can be associated with more than one record type but not vice versa. The scenario when we will have multiple record type with one business process is that they both need same set of status values but different page layouts to show different set of fields on UI. You can check more on this in following video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIO6hmhuhtx4h7M Go to chapter - Business Process, Record Type and Page Layouts

Hey 1:22:56 Are you sure about that? So you could make a Field required, even if there are already records with the Field which are empty (not have any value in it), but when you do changes on the record and try to save it again, you have to fill out the (new) required field before saving again? Or is this scenario only for new Validation Rule which would have impact to older Records which are not matching the Validation Rule? Can you tell the difference and clear it? Thanks!
@nishantforce
@nishantforce Жыл бұрын
Hello Jiwan! Let me clarify here, there are two things we are talking about here. The first one is the required checkbox which makes it required at the database level so when a field which had required checkbox true is deleted and then undeleted in that case, the field will not have required checkbox true when the field is undeleted. Now you can check that required checkbox to true and that will check for all the existing data must have some value in that field if any one record is found with empty data it will not allow you to set that required checkbox to true. Whereas if you are trying to do this with a validation rule the rule checks and evaluate only when the record is modified so some records may exist in the database with empty values which were created when the validation was not in place but as soon as you edit and try to save them again the rule will fire and stop you there. I hope this clarifies your doubt. Thank You and Happy Learning 🏁

Hi Ranjan, Salesforce as a platform and technology is very promising in terms of career for the next 5-10 years and as you know it's no 1 CRM to work on. Definitely the experience you have will add value to your role working on Salesforce and you can progress very quickly from Salesforce Admin to a Consultant or Architect. Salesforce Admin is a perfect role to enter into the Salesforce based job market.
