As a kid the jedi starfighters and jedi interceptors were my favorite sets to have, i lost all my childhood Legos and in 2021 started collecting again. Was a bit disappointed there weren't really any starfighters or interfeptors available at the time but it was okay, I didn't buy obi wans star fighter because my eyes cannot forgive the gap between the body and the wings. Its just horrendous in my opinion, but jedi bobs starfighter came out and I bought that one because I was so stoked even tho it doesn't actually exist in universe ( I may use the instructions and different color pieces to build anakins or something I love the build ) and now this set!? It's over priced for sure. But the new build on this interceptor looks great, so much more detail in this set. Love the new cockpit, we got a young ahsoka. I had to buy this and its currently waiting to be built in my room. I wish it had another mini fig at this point. Like a really good extra like grevious or Palpatine or ventress, or maybe even a random extra jedi. Ki adi mundi would be cool we don't see him often in sets

Just my take on this, I think if yiu take off all the extra add on stuff that a normal starfighter wouldnt have, the actual build of this starfighter, the shape, the hight of the cockpit the no ugly gaps, this is the best looking star fighter we have every gotten. I litterally love this set so much. And honestly. I think I'm gonna use the instructions to build a second one out of my extra pieces I have laying around have it be like a junkyard starfighter. Used to do that back when I was a kid

Why no second face on pilots? No back printing on droid, for the price lego should be doing more to the minifigure. Better arm and leg prints cloths for example

Great review. Congrats on a great start to 2025. Did you notice the single red dot on the right side of the clones chest are in different positions for at least one of them, maybe all three? I wonder if that was a printing error or a way to make each of them more unique than just a different helmet.

You care WAY too much about the box art. Does it REALLY matter if the minifigure on the box reflects that of ROTS “branding” or not? After all there’s no direct confirmation that this is supposed to be a ROTS set. I just think the over focus on the box art, instruction manual art is so trivial because ultimately it doesn’t matter

It is a bit funny that the box and minifigures are the only good things about this set. But, jokes aside, I managed to avoid getting hyped about certain Star Wars vehicles since I know there is a risk they will be hit with the "downsized" treatment. Also, asking 70$ for it, yeah, thank you, I'd rather go for a walk in the park and get some fresh air.

It seems like these days with Lego you can either get perfect figs or a perfect build, not both. At least with clone/prequel sets

Great video! Its a shame this set is downscaled so poorly. When they downscaled the Tie and X-wing a few years ago i thought it was great! They price matched it too. The x-wings were around $80 for a decade and the ties were around $70. Most people would break the bank getting both as christmas gifts for their kids. The new $30-$45 price range for both was perfect. The price per piece was great and the eyeball test was spot on. If you wanted 4 ships before you'd pay close to $300 and with those downscaled prices you paid around $150. I was hoping this set would follow that trend. But $70 for this was quite a stretch. No way it should have been more than $50. Price per piece isnt everything. But with 497 pieces and the smaller size, $50 would have been a much, MUCH better price point. It would have been a shame we got a worse set. But the better price would have just been alot more appetizing. Merry Christmas and happy New Years! Nice video and I agree this is a rather bad set compared to the original ARC-170. The box art is both good yet fowl knowing what’s happening their. Really hope Plo Koon Starfighter gets a release as well to go along with this.

Really disappointing but not a surprise unfortunately. This is just like with the coruscant gunship, or maybe even worse bc of the proportions. It's nice that you give your full honest opinions and mention the false advertisment with the cockpit stickers

Got this for Christmas this set has definitely grown on me a lot now. Definitely one of my favorite Delta 7’s.

Wont be missed. Playset from 2020 is a peak, affordable ATAT. This is overpriced, has bad figs, not fun to build and you cant touch it without knocking off half of its panels off.

It does funnily enough hold up quite well. You really think it wouldn't but it does. Sure it's a bit outdated but not as badly as other sets from it's time.
