My first breakdown the transmission went bad 🤦🏾♂️ 4 days in a hotel gets annoying 🤷🏾♂️ Sometimes when the ABS light is on, if there is no air leaking, you just have to pull the trailer and the light will go off. You CANNOT send messages through the Transflo app...yet.

Lmfao Smith turned me down. Guess they don't hire drivers with 1.6 million safe miles. No accidents, no tickets, no failed inspections. They wouldn't even tell me why they turned me down.

Well i was with Creete but i decided that having two torn hamstrings chasing a dog was more important. thankfully i found out how crete treats driver when they are out of work for more then 10 days. they force resign ya and cancel the insurance right away. So now i am seriously consiering Smith because i do like the 579 and hear positive things about the company too. hey do you get a referral bonus by any chance?
@freshwhiteteee2 ай бұрын
i was gonna work for crete but my dui wasn’t old enough yet. had to be 5 years post. i imagine they’re pretty similar. the only thing about smith is they don’t have the accessorial pay that crete has. like mileage bonus safety bonus profit sharing etc. they also don’t have a referral bonus either which sucks. otherwise generally speaking it’s fine. there’s a ton of drop and hook. trucks are nice. no driver cams. 68 mph. personally, id recommend if it sounds like it’d be a decent fit. also, you can kinda choose your pay depending on the division like crete. 55-65cpm

I haul pre-cast foundation pieces for a local company here in central Pa. Started 2 months ago being told I would get 45-60 hours a week but have only had more than 40 hours 2 weeks of those past two months. It seems like companies that need drivers will tell you anything that they can to get you hired and then just use you as they seem fit. I love the job but I love driving more than being off. Not in it for just making money but more for being on the road while making it and it seems as though I am off more days then I am working. Nowhere is perfect in my opinion.
@freshwhiteteee2 ай бұрын
that’s an interesting job. i hate the fact that the work isn’t there though, that’s annoying. sacrificing the time away from home, you wanna atleast make money to show for it. i agree though, nowhere is perfect

.60 x 2,503 = $1,501.80. Breakdown pay isn’t every week. So $1,501.80 / 70 and you’re making $21.45 an hour gone 2 weeks at a time? Ya I’d rather be home every night at $28 an hour having a life.

That’s about what I make 1700 a week gross I’ve made as much as 2500 in a week and I do 2ooo every once in a while by 1700 about average I like how people always talk like we should be paid all this extra money for being on the road or sleeping in the truck or all this kind of stuff but you gotta be realistic you know I don’t know where people get off talking like that
@freshwhiteteee2 ай бұрын
i get their point, but this isn’t a d*ck measuring contest about who makes the most money. the idea behind this video is for potential new drivers coming over to see in black & white what an average weeks pay is for me. money is #1 reason for turnover. somehow it turned into everyone thinking this is a massive paycheck and i’m like trying to brag or something. i mention in passing that i wish they had referral bonus for drivers on the video. the most money i ever made in a week was like $3700 after taxes at my last company that had a referral bonus. i try to ignore stupid comments honestly. this is ridiculous

If you save and can deal with the spying cameras and all the big company bull shit you are making average. Look at the net not actual work.. Trucking is a commission job. Like a sales person. I know some make 100k plusbut work 80.hours.. Still 100k is a 100k. I been driving 3 decades. I will take my 75 k year and 2 months off. Make my own home time. Keep truckin😊
