A straight line is a 'standard' that remains constant. A 'straight line' is not subject to interpretation. A curved line or an irregular line is subject to different interpretations by different people. Therefore, measuring distances in a straight line along the horizontal plane is the legal way.

Purposive interpretation focuses on the overall purpose and intent behind the statute, while beneficial interpretation focuses specifically on maximizing the benefits or protections for the statute's intended beneficiaries. Purposive interpretation is a general approach that can be applied to any type of statute. Beneficial interpretation is normally applied in interpreting social justice and protective legislation. Example of Purposive interpretation : If a statute is designed to prevent fraud, the purposive interpretation would aim to interpret the provisions in a way that effectively deters fraudulent activities, even if that means going beyond the strict literal meaning of the words. Example Beneficial Interpretation : In interpreting a workers' compensation law, a beneficial interpretation would favor interpretations that ensure injured workers receive the maximum possible benefits and support.

Aapke area mein jo law college hai, wahan puchna padega. Kyonki admission dates college and university pe depend karte hain. Normally admission forms Feb / March mein issue hote hain aur June se college classes start ho jaate hain. Agar college ke liye entrance exam hain, to phir process thoda alag hota hain, lekin classes June / July mein shuru ho jaate hain.

Great explanation sir. Sir I have a doubt in the punctuation part. You said to read the part ‘or stocks or exhibits or offers for sale’ together giving it conjunctive effects whereas ‘or’ gives disjunctive effect, meaning any one of the condition may be true and the output would be true. So is stocking then exhibiting and eventually offering for sale meant by the expression?
