Each i check vids of ea game, the car in replays moves like a wood box, or cement, no suspension movements, gliding over the road. Also, lot of bad collisions detection, reactions. Too much grip, still cockpit view. Bland stages, poor graphics for how bad it runs. Etc.

2:26 this is a phisics problem try that: Car feels like driving on ice all the time / PHYSICS INACTIVE !!! appears If your car is behaving weirdly like driving on ice with tarmac tires and is not accelerating then you have wrong physics version in use. You can notice also "PHYSICS INACTIVE !!!" message on top of your screen at stage start indicating that NGP physics revision is not matching with the current version. Fix this by downloading the latest rallysimfans installer from here and run the installer with Update existing installation option. Remember to close your game and RSF launcher always before updating!

It's "MOZA R12 in Rally Games" in the video title. But no problem: Very good base. I use it at 40 percent. It doesn’t heat at all (I took the R12 because I came across reviews that the R9 and R5 get overheated). The feedback is wonderful, especially in BeamNG, you periodically flinch from an unexpected collision. Awesome base!

I is impossible to get right impression of RBR using digital buttons. The video footage you shot is the best one to discourage people TBH. The developers recommendation (circa 2003) is to get Force Feedback Wheel (use a gamepad with analog sticks or gyro at least). Usually I am calling the police when see someone driving in RBR with digital buttons 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@imagineracer
@imagineracer 21 күн бұрын
Thanks! I can make a whole video on the topic of realism. If in a nutshell, then all this realism is exclusively in sensations. If you drive a car in real life, then you will rely on comparison with these sensations. According to my sensations, Richard Burns Rally and BeamNG.drive most reliably simulate the process of driving a car. And this can not be conveyed in words or demonstrate in the video, you need to get behind the wheel in front of the monitor screen and press the gas pedal.

I played both with wheel in VR in FOV camera mode. I dont really care about single aspects as long overall immersion and drive feeling is good, yet they both feel greeat to play. In my opinion, If you had to choose which to get, wrc if you got the graphics to handle it (crap cpu with RTX 3070, some fps drops here and there, but nothing bad) and like more technical maps and are into the new cars and also want better physics on tarmac, DR2.0 if you like SMOOTH fps, more All-Out Stages and better physics on dirt. I guess DR2.0 graphics are better, but if you play inside the car it all comes down how the road and envoirement looks at 80mph. Both look just really good.
@DoodlezMusic
@DoodlezMusic Ай бұрын
5:03 - I really liked the video as whole, but I sincerely think you personally as a gamepad user simply cannot give a concrete opinion on physics. Try both games on a wheel, as what matters most on sim games is the feedback you get through your hands, which will in turn determine how you control your car. I would say it's 90% of what actually matters when racing.

Oh no, not the RBR fanboys getting butthurt. DR 2.0 is and always will be a good rally simulator. What's the point of having god tier physics when you can't even immerse yourself in the game because it looks like garbage and sounds like farting into a tin can? I'm not saying RBR is a bad simulator or that it's worse than DR2 but just because it has a slight lead in physics doesn't mean that every other rally game is arcade garbage for 9 year olds.

Well, I buckled and looked into this Moza brand, and spent what was going to be my whole budget on a Moza R5 for £438, (edit: plus £80 import duty) instead of a cheap whole rig (+seat of some sort). Going to weld up a frame and may save a few £s using an old car seat, if not the last of my budget will go on a 2nd hand (or cheap new) seat. Been a hobby welder for about 10 years. Got some steel 25mm x 4mm wall square tube, maybe a little more to buy, but with welders so cheap these days it might be an option to build a very sophisticated rig for much less money (including buying a welder) than some of the better models available. I think a rig is very much a beginner's welding project. A "buzzbox" is under £40 on eBay here. God knows how I'm going to fit it in my corner of the room, but I'll build it small and strong.🤣

I heard that it is better to reduce feedback in the games rather than in Pit House. I have about 30 percent feedback in Dirt Rally. In DR 2.0 and EA WRC a little bit more (35-37). I still have a problem with RBR, the terrible understeer and filters do not help. For some reason Moza refuses to work properly in RBR. Does Moza work fine for you in RBR?

@@imagineracer I've made a wood cockpit for £32. I got a leather seat from a 2005-2009 Astra for £20 and it's sooo comfortable, and £11 for the wood, plus a few bolts and 0.5m of 4x2 I had lying around. It's as solid as a rock, probably because the car seat is so heavy. Just set it up with a small monitor, did Noiker Tarmac, and the RSF servers went down.🤣. My time was awful, but 90% ffb in Pit House just shakes me, not the rig. Going to add a handbrake soon, because the cockpit cost so little. I'll take my time with the steel rig, but I can use this wooden one for accurate measurements. Your Moza advice (plus a few guys on the Discord who passionately agree) is the best tip ever.

@imagineracer
@imagineracer 2 ай бұрын
Based on the videos that I have seen, not all cockpits even have the ability to change the seat tilt. You need to study each option in detail. And it’s not a fact that you will want to change your seating position at all. This was important for me; my back is very sensitive to uncomfortable positions. The type of seat I have also has the ability to change the angle of the seat back, like in regular non-sports cars. But I’m sure factory cockpits have their advantages, of which there are probably quite a few. Good luck with your purchase.

While I understand that it bothers you and why this bothers you... this is just realism. Have a look at the real life versions of this cars and you will see the same windshield tints. I watch WRC championship regularly. Such a narrow strip only occurs if the camera is located near the rear window. The driver's visibility is not so severely limited in both rally class 1 and rally class 2 cars.
@GrubZukk
@GrubZukk 2 ай бұрын
@@imagineracer You were not talking about modern Rally cars though! I explicitly said take a look at the cars you were talking about to see that thise strips are very much present. And no, they are not that much of a big deal from the perspective of the driver… which you can configure the position of in RBR. Your preference is still valid of course, this is a GAME after all… but the cars are still faithfully recreated. You just don’t like that form of realism… suit yourself.
@imagineracer
@imagineracer 2 ай бұрын
@@GrubZukk I don't see any point in arguing either. Although I have actually cleaned windshields for different cars.. And this doesn’t really matter, because firstly, each of us has our own idea of how it should look, and secondly, at the time of making this video, I didn't know about the ability to adjust the internal camera by double-clicking the right mouse button. It would really be a game changer if it weren't for the ability to change the camera position. This would truly be a game changer if it weren't for the ability to change the camera position and remove the windshield completely in the launcher. However, there are still certain advantages in my windshields - I minimized the tinting to a comfortable level (from my point of view, of course).
