This was one of the easiest, tastiest, mouth-watering throw together crockpot meals we have done, using cube steak. You have got to try it! The hardest part is getting the soup out of the can!😅you just put it together in the crockpot, turn it on and in a few hours it’s ready for your family to devour it. We didn’t show making the mashed potatoes, but everyone knows how to make your favorite mashed potatoes. Either peel’em boil them, or use instant. You will want to add this recipe to your weekly meal line up. It’s perfect for on the go lifestyles. Don’t forget to like and subscribe, and as always God Bless You! Enjoy

This video is a continuation of our what to do with Thanksgiving left overs. The recipe is no muss, no fuss, few ingredients. It is a buttery, garlicly, cheesy, tasty quick meal. Yes it’s a meaty smoked Turkey idea to help with that question. What to make for dinner tonight, and to use up leftovers. It was surprisingly really comforting and delicious. Try it you won’t be sorry! If you’re new to our channel and you like what we do, hit like, leave comments, subscribe! As always, God Bless Ya!

This was the Thanksgiving meats we prepared for short term storage and preserving. We know we will be using it all soon so there was no need to freeze dry it. We put some of the ham into a pot of beans and it was amazingly delicious. The turkey was used in other dishes, Sammie’s and sliders. Most important, we didn’t want any of it to be thrown away. That’s our way of life on our homestead. Grow our veggies, raise meat, eggs, fish, hunt and fish, all to cut down on the grocery bills. We hope you liked it and maybe inspired some. Thanks again for following along. If you are new to our channel and you like what we do, hit like and subscribe. As always God Bless us all!

Cold weather can create fun activities even on a homestead with lots of chores.😂 I try to make everything enjoyable, even if there’s no reason for it to be. You Probably thought at the beginning, bad things might happen to our farm animals. Surprise! It was to feed them. Boy did they appreciate the treat. Hope you enjoyed the video! Have a good day!

I freeze lots of stuff.. I hate wasting food. As for thanksgiving stuff. I have a small plate left out of everything I had. That little plate will get finished off this evening and that will be that till next year.

@@Scott-l6e we freeze a lot during the year with gardening, fish, deer, left overs, we don’t want things to go freezer burned. It’s too easy to clean the freezer by can, dehydrate or freeze dry. To preserve by freeze drying food keeps 99 percent of its nutrients and its good for up to 25 years In Mylar bags, or Macon jars for short term storage. It can be eaten as a snack, or reconstituted just by adding hot water. Imagine being in the duck blind, freezing cold, opening a bag of casserole, adding hot water, and sharing with your hunting buddies. Some things make a great snack without being reconstituted. It’s all about not wasting perfectly good food. Thanks for commenting!

We have been freeze drying for a couple years now, and are not scared to use! Nothing is worse than throwing away food after working so hard to grow it, raise it, harvest it, and cook it. It is so easy to preserve it by dehydrating, freeze drying or canning it. We do all, but mostly freeze drying because it maintains more nutrients than the other methods. We see so many people say on social media they are throwing everything out. The only food we are throwing out is when we are feeding the chickens and ducks some vegetables or composting.

This is a tasty, melt in your mouth recipe. It is so good, that it deserves a try. The hardest part is cleaning up your crockpot😂. We used crockpot liners so no worries. You can add other ingredients like honey chipotle rub, Worcestershire sauce, anything really depends on what you crave. When the meat is done, slice it, chop it, spread it, whatever you want. Add Mayo and either spicey brown or what ever mustard you like to the split top Hawaiian rolls. Slap that meat on, and add your choice of cheese. We used shredded mozzarella, but we’ve used provolone before to and it was great. 350 oven foil covered10 minutes, remove foil for another5, slice and serve hot!

This is the best explanation as to why red Dixie cups are so appealing to chickens. It’s the cheese theory. We left out a couple things that help explain it even better, but you get the idea😂 mice are rodents that we don’t want in our home or in the chicken coop. So we have to catch them. Week it’s the cheese. Cows make milk, milk makes cheese, cats like milk and cheese, dogs like cats because they drink milk and eat cheese, cats like mice because they like cheese. Cheese is what’s used to catch mice because they like cheese. 🤣

Thinking about putting your garden beds to sleep for the year? It’s time but do we really want to let them sleep, or improve them for next year. We don’t buy manure to make the soil better. Our ducks and chickens take care of that part. We do buy seed to plant a covercrop where the garden beds are going. The idea is to mix with the chicken manure from where our chickens were, and cover it with were, and cover it with food plots. We also will plant foodplot where we are moving our chickens to so they will have good food for next year to free range on. We keep switching them, chicken run, and garden beds for better living soil.

This was a fun video of a combination of things we like in a fall time meal. The combination of wild game, using freeze dried ingredients like banana peppers, yellow onions, home grown eggs, and the spices. There were no preservatives added other than what’s in half and half , and potatoes tots. Next time we will use fried 0:04 potato wedges as the base. It was delicious. Hope you try it! Let us know what you think.

By freeze drying your ingredients, they can last up to 25 years. We freeze dry most of what is grown in our garden. Even eggs and milk can be freeze dried. Pumpkin carving time again! If you have chickens you have to try this. If not, sorry😢, but maybe you know someone with chickens that might help. It turns out pretty scary and the chickens benefit. Pumpkin is very healthy for chickens, and the seeds help to get rid of and prevent worms. It takes a little bit for the chickens to figure it out, but once they do, it’s on! Thanks for watching!
