This was the Thanksgiving meats we prepared for short term storage and preserving. We know we will be using it all soon so there was no need to freeze dry it. We put some of the ham into a pot of beans and it was amazingly delicious. The turkey was used in other dishes, Sammie’s and sliders. Most important, we didn’t want any of it to be thrown away. That’s our way of life on our homestead. Grow our veggies, raise meat, eggs, fish, hunt and fish, all to cut down on the grocery bills. We hope you liked it and maybe inspired some.
