You mentioned care for these orchids. So you dipped the orchids into water and placed them on a paper towel. Did you place them into the ziploc completely dry or still damp? Bag open or closed? I have a lei I want to make and just don’t want to mess up the orchids

For my Kahoas fresh and artificial, I use curling ribbon and a long needle. The size that I like is about 5 inches. It is called a long doll needle from Hobby Lobby

Yes it should be stored in the fridge. I recommend making it 24 hours or less before you need it. It can hold up 2-3 days, I have some videos of what it looks like on my Make It Megan Instagram highlight under “fresh leis”

The ginger kahoa looks amazing! i know hala or fa ( screw pine) is often used, for the plate pieces, but can be hard to come across unless you're in the tropics.
