How come it went all the way past Alarm Level 6 instead of just to Alarm Level 3?
@flooderdooden21795 ай бұрын
Was playing a Custom game. Had adjusted the Alarm multiplier to max (x5). Also, when you get to the later days in Endless mode, apparently Daemons apply right away. When Blowfish 2.0 hits, it normally ratchets up the Alarm level to 2 right away. However, because of the multiplier in effect, it shot it all the way up to 10. What made it even worse is that two of my characters had Gel Injectors as augments. So while that’s good early, it’s detrimental the higher the alarm level gets. I went from entering the level with those characters each having 15AP to them only having 5AP after Blowfish took effect. Combine that with the 7 extra guard spawns and their knowing your location, and for all practical purposes it was game over even before the level began. 🤣
@JohnSmith-de9jb5 ай бұрын
@@flooderdooden2179 Ah, see, that exact situation is why I never install gel injectors
@flooderdooden21795 ай бұрын
@JohnSmith-de9jb, yeah I learned that the hard way. On the type of Custom difficulty I had created, they were doing just fine to that point. But when Blowfish hits, they turn into concrete shoes. On the flipside, it now has me wondering what the Reactive Moyomer augments will do when Blowfish hits that hard. Agents suddenly have 20+ AP a turn and it’s off to the races. 😝

You definitely had a more interesting journey 😅 I like how we both realized our ships were floating away through the wall, you were able to stay in orbit around the sun for so long! Yeah, I got lucky for sure that the sun’s gravity could let me slingshot back to Timber Hearth. Probably couldn’t repeat it if my life depended on it-but that’s one of the things that makes the game so special. No two people will have exactly the same experience! After the fact, it got me thinking about others’ vids on their Hotshot experience. This might be the other craziest one I’ve ever seen-a guy actually running Hotshot shipless. I can’t imagine how long it took him to figure this out (probably as long, if not longer than those people who have completed the game entirely without the ship) but it’s nuts: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2WrYWqpfNuShM0si=E9vqDSy5df6gqo0K. Damage 356 X 3? I'm guessing these weapons were patched out? I'm 50 hours in and haven't seen anything remotely as powerful.
@flooderdooden2179 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it seems that way for now. These types of weapons were available in the later game for around the first month that the game was out (pre-patch). According to the developers, the patch included a bugfix that adjusted weapon DPS downwards. However, a few people on their Discord (myself included) have pointed out how problematic the adjustment is for late-game players for trying to finish a song before it loops, particularly on Lethal difficulty. My hope is that they’re looking at the balance concerns and will readjust as needed-hopefully sooner than later, so that this challenge is more doable for players. Otherwise, most post-patch players are now stuck using Lydia and a solid Legendary bow to finish levels in time. If you’re working on the platinums, best of luck to you!

I can't find this song anywhere outside of this game and it's been killing me🥺😭
@lp83782 жыл бұрын
Congrats you with this hard achievement! I also go for this achievement, already on the 9th world, but there is one level 5-5, it seems, with kai, and since I'm a fairly new player and I don't have an old imb weapon, this level will most likely be the most difficult for me and almost not on the verge of the impossible, in fact, I didn’t spend more than 2 hours at 1 level and I didn’t even try to pass this level, because it’s clear that dps doesn’t allow me to do this, perhaps this is, of course, due to the fact that I still don’t have a natural spit on a kai, but even with it I’m unlikely to be able to do it, even though I thought about other places that they were impossible almost before, but with good equipment I managed to pass them pretty quickly. So, if you have time, tell me how you got through this level, albeit with different equipment, and which scythe suits the kai best. Also, interesting your experience in total, for example, which levels were for you the most hardest, how much time did you spend in game to get this. Thanks in advance!
@flooderdooden21792 жыл бұрын
Thanks, LP! I figured you were still pressing for this achievement, given what you had mentioned over in Drastic’s Discord. Sounds like you’ve mostly made solid progress to this point. To your question about which levels I found most difficult, I would say some of the lower BPM songs gave me issues due to their lengths at times. With a slower song, you fundamentally have fewer opportunities to shoot or dash, so those choices have to be made with maximum efficiency. With those levels, it became much more of a focus on killing things (especially the magicians) as soon as possible, as well as always moving forward. Some of the biomes are just tougher too-Volcano and Peaks come to mind there. I remember struggling a good bit with Ownage (for the BPM/tempo change there) and Nightmare of Defeat (due to early enemy/turret placement) in the Volcano biome, while some of the slower BPM songs combined with the environmental hazards in Peaks made things a little tricky. This level above is super tough too, and my recommendation is moving from Ky to Lydia to get it done. If you don’t get Discord’s health all the way down each time it’s vulnerable, you have to go through a new wave of tentacles/bullet hell. Obviously, the longer that goes on, the more likely it is you get hit or make a mistake beat-wise, so speed is the name of the game. Let me know which song you’re having trouble with (as Ky), and I’ll try to give you a more in-depth answer (can’t recall 5-5 off the top of my head-primarily did the challenge through free play, so songs were arranged alphabetically there, as opposed to Story Mode order). In the meantime, best of luck to you!
@lp83782 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for answering! As for your complex songs, I completely agree, although the levels with each specific character are perhaps the most difficult for me, and by the way, if you haven’t looked at level 5-5 yet, this is the one with kai, since I never played kai in my life, because for me it the weakest of this five characters, but this is again my opinion and I don’t have the necessary overdrive for him, but the fight itself is that I used each character somewhere, but somehow I didn’t work out with kai. And yes, as far as I understood you, you thought that I play on kai and this is a normal level, but it’s not, because as you wrote in the drastic's discord that there is only one meta for new players - Lydia’s triple bow and this is quite true, in fact I use others characters only at the final levels, and for all the rest you have to use Lydia, although, to be honest, since some recent time, I would like to change my tactics, but the DPS of the weapon does not allow me to do this. And thanks again for part of your answer!
@flooderdooden21792 жыл бұрын
@@lp8378, well I have good news for you. I just looked up the level you mentioned, and realize that you’re working on the challenges through the Story Mode. As such, this one occurs during a ‘Temple’ level and forces you to use Ky to complete it. However, if you slide over to Free Play mode in the parent menu, and then search by Biome, this song (Come Move Your Body) will show up there as well. And it will be a conventionally laid-out Level that will allow you to use your preferred character to complete it. The same goes for any of the x-10 horde rush levels too. Given that I went through this challenge entirely through Free Play mode, I didn’t go through those levels in that way. I’d highly recommend you (and any others trying for this challenge) to do the same. In Free Play, they become regular levels-and as such, are far less intimidating/challenging than they would be otherwise. Hope that helps you out!

@@flooderdooden2179 It's funny that I only found out about this feature towards the end of the game. I want to say thank you again, because thanks to you and this feature, I will most likely be able to get multiplatinum, and as I have been planning to post a video with all the levels for multiplatinum on KZbin for a long time, in fact, I came up with some kind of motivation for myself, because I did not see anyone I posted all the levels in one video on this game, of course this is due to the fact that the game is not very popular, but I think that is also due to the new meta, with which it is extremely difficult for an ordinary player to achieve multiplatinum at this moment. Finally, I wish you all the very best.

First off, your builds are amazing!!! Like you, I have spent countless hours on build in the regular chapters and not so much in Terra. I had some builds I was proud of, but they are stored on my old PS4 which my son has taken. (Gosh I hope he didn’t deleted the file, but he probably did! 😢). I’ve decided to play this game again. I’ve completed Cantlin story but not the build yet. (Time for a break from it). Going to start Chapter 2. This first time I know I removed all the swap water and I sure hope I can remember the best strategy. Lol. I love looking at all the different builds people make. I get great inspiration and great ideas. I have seen your comments on here and other places and I agree, that I love all builds, big or small!!! I have seen great ideas and creativity in both. I didn’t realize DQB2 is coming out this summer until I came on KZbin to see some DQB1 videos 😁😁😁. I overthink everything so DQB2 May be overwhelming for me, lol. I see a lot of people have been into DQB lately and maybe it’s because of the talk of the new one coming out. Anyways, your work is amazing and I think “how to build” things by you would be very popular!!!! Like how you built your towers, and roofed them. And your amazing bridges!!! I love the section in between your towers and would love to see how you built them. Also I have watched a lot of how to build videos, but no one ever talks about how the build gets from your head to reality. Like how much of it is preplanned? Do y’all make sketches and know what you are going to do? ESP if you care about assemetry(sp?). Do you just build and worry about how to put it altogether later?? Also. Because you like to build in the actual chapters, do you build small until you beat the chapter and then after that begin the huge build? TIA. Hope to see many more videos from you!!!! You are so creative and your attention to detail is amazing!! 👍👍
@flooderdooden21795 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks so much for watching, along with the kind words! And I could totally see where some ‘how to’ videos could be popular-especially when the games are relatively new and more people are playing them. Unfortunately on my end, that would require a level of technical editing and time that would eat into the smaller windows of gaming time I get. And honestly, some of the finished products were very much an active exercise in experimentation (some of the roofing elements come to mind, especially on the towers since they were more circular). I did also try to pay attention to symmetry where I could with the towers, walkways, lighting, supports, etc. That in itself can take an inordinate amount of time, depending on your levels of OCD. All that said, the finished product was really the sum of many smaller ideas that sort of appear during the process of doing smaller things. I can totally understand how people might have a level of ‘analysis paralysis’ if they try to look at the big picture too early, so for that I always say start small. Think about something cool that’s totally doable, and set to work on it. Usually in the course of getting it done, either a problem will pop up that you’ll have to think about, or there will be some aspect where you might have adjust/reconsider your plans. Before you know it, you’ll be off on the next idea. And so it goes. Thanks again for watching, and hope you have fun building something cool, whether it’s in DQB1 or DQB2!

Erdrick’s Descendant, yeah, the irony of this particular build is that while I enjoyed building it very much, hitting the item limit for placed items in town (which included roofing tiles as placed items for some reason) really dampened my excitement for Terra incognita mode. I'm really hoping that the limit is drastically raised in the sequel, because I love seeing larger creations/towns (and trying to build them myself). That said, I'm guessing the sequel is likely a year away from release in the West, so if you have the hankering to build now, the original is still a good option, even with the limitations. The ending. Like, what's he talking about?
@flooderdooden21796 жыл бұрын
Phatnaru0002, keep in mind that this story is assembled/experienced with an amount of ambiguity to it, so there's likely not a 'definitive' interpretation to it. That said, Hollis appeared to be part of the crew for a manned mission to Venus (Venera 17) to investigate the source of the original signal. There was at least one other person with him (many speculate Bester, though perhaps our experiences/memories of Bester occurred on Earth with Hollis, before there was a decision to enact Venera 17). Upon arriving, it seems they initially spent time in the atmosphere, learning/gathering what they can, but eventually decide to land to find the source/get definitive answers (i.e. the fragmented Venera 17 memory). Upon landing, they realize their mistake (Venus is hot/inhospitable) and are incinerated. However, at the game's close, it would seem Hollis is somehow still alive, if in thought/memory if nothing else. The difficult thing to determine is whether he somehow became absorbed/transmitted by the Source post-mortem, or whether what we're seeing/experiencing isn't reliable since it's happened while in the machine. The very first memory would seem to imply that perhaps things could be altered to seem different than they really are. At the same time, we don't know whether that's the case, or whether what we first saw was a Venus before cataclysm struck. Honestly, not having all the answers is part of the fun of this game though (gathering/piecing the fragments/details to build a larger story). All that said, what do you think happened?

Phatnaru0002, not a problem! Honestly, this is one of those games where additional playthroughs provide additional insights, as players notice things they might have missed the first time around or find new ways to interpret what's happening (and when) in the story. Also, this series is unlike any other when it first releases because nobody knows the answers and everyone is working together to solve the puzzles and discuss the story. It's a fantastic experience, and one I'm thankful to experience with each release from Nilo.
