Really cool seeing a real farmer on this game. Additionally I've been to Iowa, around the Storm Lake area, so it adds a neat aspect that you guys purchased realistic farmland out there.

Money makes no sense in this game. It costs $80k for a white picket fence but an entire house only ran you $150k? Then you magically had $1M again when it came time to start a coffee company even though you hadn't sold anything yet?

Howdy Jake! You did a phenomenal job, I loved your video! Your railroad is already looking fantastic and I can’t wait to see what else you come up with! Just a couple tips for ya, idk if you have seen it yet, but in my last update I included the “fence” track that you talked about. It’s great for long straight stretches! And also, when you pulled the CSX loco into the siding and then attempted to connect to the back side with the BNSF loco, you can accomplish that if you disconnect all the cars from each other first with the CSX loco by holding shift and then hitting your disconnect key. Then when you pull the BNSF around to the back side, you can reconnect all the cars together from the back side without having to turn them around. It’s a limitation of giants game engine unfortunately that you cant connect to the back side of a long string of connected implements. I wish I could fix that myself!

This is this best simulation. An actual successful farmer going through the thought process of investing in a farm. Looking at the drainage, potential flooding etc. This video series is going to rock so long as @mrpapapickle remains interested. In the game I usually just buy the plot right next to the house, it doesn't really make a difference in the simulation.

I wish I could get that mod but I play on Xbox and the mod is on pc

This is such refreshing content! It’s great to hear your dad articulate from his experience and perspective while u guys play, invest, and as he learns the game. It’s such a cool idea! Plus he’s got a fantastic movie narrator voice that’s soothing. After quite a few thousand hours and many, many farms/maps that I’ve played, this is exactly the content I’ve been looking for! 👏🫡

If you that interested in driving trains, I highly recommend you check out derail valley. Think ATS but with trains. Was originally made for vr, but works great on mouse and keys.
