The front and back look so much like a gz20 soarer. I ahd an 88 and 89 and loved the square edge look of that generation 😊❤❤❤

Personally would have gotten a programable lighter rack motor so you could do speed based assist full assist at 0-maybe 20% at like 80 and above. Electric powersteering is nice the feel just sucks and you can program in thing to imprlve feel also the better you brace it the more feel you should have. Even with that setup

Is the goal to make a street legal machine? Im just wondering why all the work for such a small motor. Either way, Im invested in seeing this till completion
@TIRESIDE9 күн бұрын
I’m going to make it as street legal as possible. It’ll be registered as the moped. But really I’m just using this engine because it’s what came with the go kart and it runs. realistically, it’ll need a bigger engine to be practical on the street though. I’ve been keeping my eye out for a larger quad engine with reverse.

my father built a gokart out of bedframes and motorbike wheels with his brother when he was a kid, he use a snowmobile engine for power. i recently found this gokart, the engine may be seized but i found an unused crate engine in the shed, looks like i have a new project car coming up

Ultra late to this but the reason your steering angle is bad is because your handlebars have been lowered down so far. Compared to the original quad's steering angle, you've lost quite a bit with how far down the handlebars are now. Not hating, that's just what happens in this situation. Looks really fun.

That gokart was absolutely beautiful. I cant wait to see what it looks like when its finished. I wish i was taught stuff about motors from my father. Nope lol but i can make a bike outta all scrap pieces. I guess thats good😂

My dad didn't teach me a damn thing other than how to be abusive, and I've run a repair shop for almost 15yrs now. Go to some local repair shops and ask them if they need someone to sweep floors for free, and you might end up getting a free education that will allow you to be financially secure the rest of your life. Everything breaks, so knowing how to fix stuff is guaranteed to be a lifelong career. Good luck and stay curious
