This flan recipe comes out perfect in the instant pot. But it's a very tiny flan , enough for one to two people only . If you only will have a slice then enough for four people maximum if you are small eaters.

Why would you use the green upper stalk of lemongrass? The flavors are in the white bottom third of the stem.
@lilyleung2237Күн бұрын
Do you use vinegar for your dipping sauce ever or always lime juice ? You would use the same amount of lime juice as you would use vinegar? Can you do half lime juice and half vinegar or would it taste funny?
@TheCookingIslandКүн бұрын
You can use vinegar, but I prefer lime juice for the better taste, and the amount is the same. Just make sure to taste and season again to your liking.

I don't see lemon juice in your ingredients listed in the box. How much lemon juice do you use?
@TheCookingIslandКүн бұрын
Hi, you can use 1 Tbsp of lemon juice ☺️

You said you make a big batch and freeze it. Can you tell me how you reheat it? Thanks
@TheCookingIslandКүн бұрын
After freezing, don’t thaw it. Whenever you need, deep fry, air fry or bake in oven for about 5-6 mins at 400F or until you see it’s crispy again :)

Do I have to scrape the non-stick off my air frier as you've done? Or can I use a non-metal tong?

When you wash a shrimp after removing it from the shell, you are removing most of the flavour. :( Bad form! Bad form!

The recommendation for day-old rice is a very useful one. I make mine the night before and put it spread out on a baking tray in my fridge, which is the kind that has ventilation to keep condensation down. It basically takes the moisture out of the air and helps to dry the cooked rice. By the next evening, it is perfect for fried rice.

I'm so glad you found the recommendation helpful! Your method of spreading the rice on a baking tray to dry it out sounds brilliant. I can apply this tip for my freshly cooked rice to speed up the time. I'll have to try that next time. Thanks for sharing your tip! 😊

What are round things that look like olives in the soup?
@saimaiqbal746 күн бұрын
Since rice paper is transparent, a dark colour plate would have been more useful than white. These things need to be kept in view while making a video for better impact.

Good recipe but I will cut the sugar in half and use anato seed for coloring, which is natural food coloring or optional. 😊

Rau củ để là Must be dry mà lại nêm nước mắm ????
@TheCookingIsland8 күн бұрын
Bạn có thể bỏ qua và thay bằng bột nêm. Lượng nước của rau củ có thể làm chả giò dễ mềm ỉu, lượng nêm của nước mắm không nhiều và sẽ thấm vào phần nhân.

2tbs sugar & then honey again? Won't it be too sweeet? What about more spice like chili or something 😭
@TheCookingIsland10 күн бұрын
The dish is not too sweet to me, you can adjust the sugar as you like. Honey helps the meat moisture, so I don’t recommend you skipping it. Of course, you can taste and add chili or any spices to your liking ☺️
