@fotiosfotinakis8359Ай бұрын
QUESTION FROM @ale3andro1979: Mr. Foteinaki good evening, have you managed to use the IR TRANSMITTER from the Arduino Uno mod by Polytech S1? The IR RECEIVER seems to work properly in my experiments as well, but I haven't been able to find a way to get the TRANSMITTER working. MY ANSWER: No, I never did try but I might have a solution later, next month. THANKS !

Again, educators will see that this system uses robust connections, more suited to schools and school aged children. Much less "fiddley" than jumper wires and even stronger than Grove connectors. Well done to this company !
@fotiosfotinakis83592 ай бұрын
Yes, they seem that at least they tried to avoid the clamsiness of using either, simple jumper wires or Grove connections and moved forward. Mind you, LEGO use similar connectors in NXT & EV3 Mindstorms.

This is very interesting. You see that we have been working with LEGO Bricks and Baseplate the past days (for the first time) and with Microbit Makecode and LEGO Technic motors. Now you show this. Well done ! You are showing something that is "plug and play" similar to Jacdac. This is far more useful for students than bread-boarding. I will watch the progress on this.

Lego, Gigo,...).

Thank you @iosifidoumaria for your comment: «How many new robot kits exist these days? Really!!! ...and newer kits keep coming... Obviously this one is in a different logic from those robot kits that ask children construction/mechanical questions (e.g. Lego, Gigo,...). I believe that each robot kit serves different educational goals. All good and also all useful! Your presentation here includes a great idea (kids would love it) with a lot of useful material, both programming-wise and wire connection-wise! You give good ideas! Be well!!!». Well, I try not to forget how a kid feels and acts, a kid lives inside me!

Cool! I would like to use this to find out the difference in speed between a full battery and a battery that's almost empty. May I ask which coding editor you're using? It looks like Scratch, but in Scratch you can't use all the pins of the micro:bit and power servomotors with the micro:bit.
@fotiosfotinakis83598 ай бұрын
Dear @pinkypepper. The programming environment is called "Mind+" (mindplus.cc) and it is a derivative app of "Scratch 3.0", (that is why it looks so familiar) but with many more enhancements. For example it allows you to use the full range of the pins of a microbit (as you well noticed), it allows to use a webcamera in any USB port you care to connect it, etc...
