Unlike 2 wheels, you have to man handle a trike. Some people aren’t made for it, But once you get used to riding , it’s a blast.

Test rode the very same model yesterday and have watched dozens of YT reviews and have to say, yours is the best or should I say I got more info from your vid than any of the others. I'm stoked it's different from previous generations, I absolutely hated the fact that the GS was a middle class, pompous twat types bike and that they are hating it. I love the fact that isn't much more sportier, I've ordered one. Just the one question for you though, why would you be using a quick shifter at 40ish mph, the very fact it's called a quick shifter is a bit of a giveaway.

I went to the triglide a year ago and I was the same way going slow till I got use to it. The more you ride the better you will understand it, the camber will make you feel like your leaning to much the way I do it is slow down in the turn and catch up in straight aways. If one wheel does go up it will cut the fuel off to get it back on the ground. I had to relearn how to ride it but I love it now.

I bought the Road Glide 3 a year ago. It's different again trom the Freewheeler. Better for long distance rides because of the big fairing. I recommend you try that one if you can.

That was a very funny and an informative video. I am just finishing restoring a Vmax trike and have yet to ride it for the first time. Due to arthritis I have had to give up riding after over 50 years on two wheels. I hope I can get used to it as fast as you did and have as much fun doing so.

Question. Did u pick out the exhaust or did the dealership? Also do you by chance know if other exhausts will work? I have stage 4 on my street glide, told them to pick the exhaust, they picked exactly what u have, the pro Vance and Hines 2 in 1. I wanted to go with something louder, like the slanted short shot V&H style. But yeah thanks, your bike looks awesome, cheers
@FenTour
@FenTour 27 күн бұрын
The stage 4 really does not work well with the short shots, so I am told. I chose this both for looks and performance and for me it’s about the right volume.

I’m envious of your pension plan 🤣, a superb bike which as far as I’m concerned really does look stunning in the competition colours with all that carbon. However, the price is a bit salty when you consider you’re not actually getting top draw brakes (Brembo) and suspension (Ohlins) something I would want for that kind of money. Whether or not it actually makes any difference is debatable, but BMW are probably being a tad greedy. Enjoy your new ride there’s no doubting you’re piloting one of the most desirable bikes on the market, a real dream machine 👍
@FenTour
@FenTour Ай бұрын
The suspension works so well over the bumps there cannot be any cheapskate stuff going on, as for the brakes they are the strongest I have ever experienced. I guess BMW marketing think that "M" is of a higher or = value (brand wise) than a name such as Brembo. Cheers...

I have a 2021 africa twin 1100 dct. Fully kitted with denali, touratech and altrider products! Amazing machine! I find myself wondering if i should get a touring bike as i dont do off road, i just like the look and comfort of the bike! Yet i cant decided between the k16, gs1250 or the 1250 rt! 1st world problems are very much understated! ❤
@FenTour
@FenTour Ай бұрын
I prefer the GS to the K1600 and the RT for touring. However only you can decide by test riding each bike… for sure they will be preferable to the Africa Twin for comfort and low down pull. Though you may miss the DCT which is lovely.
@terrystratford1235
@terrystratford1235 Ай бұрын
@FenTour ah that dct! It's lovely! The thought of stalling a manual heavy bike mid turn, sends chills down my spine! I've had fast bikes in the past, 2006 hayabusa! Still have a 1987 gsxr1100h! I really really like my crf1100L, I don't really wana trade her in! It's just the seat is....abit hard! I'm looking into a sargent comfort heated seat! That could really change the bike for the best! Could be a good £800 spent!?
@FenTour
@FenTour Ай бұрын
@@terrystratford1235 indeed, if it’s just the seat that’s the problem then changing it is much preferable to changing bikes. I also wear padded undies when riding a long way which helps!! (Shhhhh)

I had a loaded up 22 Africa Twin, miss that bike a lot. I have a dirt bike for riding off road, so I wanted a true road bike for longer trips, but mainly something where the wife would be more comfortable when she decided to ride. Been all over the map since then. 17 Road Glide Ultra, then a new 23 Goldwing tour, now a new 24 Road Glide. I do have a problem wanting all motorcycles, lol. Missing parts of the Goldwing over this new Harley, but over all, I'm missing the Africa twin a lot quite often. Only real complaint was the seat was very uncomfortable for me. Surly I could of found a fix for that. Quite likely I'll get another Africa Twin at some point.

Hey, I couldn't see your speed when you overtook. Did you accidentally smear some petroleum jelly on the camera lens just at that moment? ;-) I love that bike. My only concern is that I think I might want the Grand America version more because of the speakers in the rear luggage cases. I like nice tunes on my bikes. However, I'd love to hear people's opinions on the ride differences (stance, ergonomics) between the two bikes.
@FenTour
@FenTour Ай бұрын
The speakers are going to be very cool, but do take into consideration the extra bulk and reduced top speed.
