Ep 18 is sorta like canon filler so don't worry, but do peep the actual filler list going forward. About 9% of One Piece is pure filler, which isn't too many considering it's been a weekly anime for like 25 yrs... but it is still like 100 episodes. Some reactors insist doing all episodes, but I personally recommend skipping fillers since theres already enough details to keep track of... and those videos don't end up doing too well in viewcount. Fyi, Ep54-61is the first filler arc, and there is 1 fan-favorite filler arc called G-8 (ep196-206)

Not sure if anyone's told you this yet or you've put it together, "Uso" means "lie" in Japanese, and the Boy Who Cried Wolf is from Aesop's fables. Plus his Pinocchio nose. So Ussop is not just like a malicious liar, but also tells white lies and tall-tales and fantasies, which could also technically be considered "lies". The layers be layerin.

Well, Jinwoo is about 24 at the start, and his sister and her friends are in highschool, so around 16, 17ish. So yeah, Jinho pointing that out is pretty much what any decent adult should do, but alas, since he knows what Jinwoo is capable of, he knows that there isn't anything anyone could do about it, so Jinho just let it be 😂 And Jinwoo didn't even realize what Jinho was on about, since he didn't even consider that 😂 In the manhwa, the way how Jinwoo offed Kim Chul was even darker 😂 You could clearly see how Jinwoo set it up by kicking the sword that Kim Chul lost when he got pummeled by him right towards where Hunter Kim lay unconscious, so that the sword would be close by when Kim woke up. That way it would ensure that Kim Chul would be enticed to attack once he woke up, which is exactly what that idiot did. And to add insult to injury, Jinwoo didn't even give much thought about the name of the shadow that he extracted from Hunter Kim 😂 Chul literally means "Iron", so he just gave him his name in English. So this is the first time that Jinwoo deliberately killed another human, since the other two times he was forced to kill. And the reason why Jinwoo's mood turned sour at the end before they left the gate was exactly because he wasn't able to turn Baruka into his shadow, which got him pissed.

The anime has been releasing weekly episodes without breaks since 25 years ago and they have to not catch up with the manga chapter releases... so i do kinda understand that they have to prolong the pacing of some episodes.

I think it would be a fair warning about characters dying in the show, NOT a spoiler, just... some deaths will break you but most characters don't really die. A big series such as one piece must have it's flaws. I still do love it!

The backstories are one of the best parts of One Piece. We always get excited when we are given the characters' backstories!

In my opinion........ the live action is also good in its own right. I'll get whatever One Piece i can have :)))

Some little clarifications: Takakura Ken was a japanese actor known for his manly roles. Kinda like Clint Eastwood, the grumpy no nonsense hero. That's Momo's role model for how a guy should be, so it's a celebrity crush. It's kinda like if one of the popular girls of your school had a weird celebrity crush on Clint Eastwood, and somehow gets to know the nerdy Bill Gates-lookalike, and he just splurts out a sudden "Go ahead, make my day" and tells her that his name is Clint Eastwood. (That "I'm an awkward fellow, after all." is a famous Takakura Ken line) -san, -kun, etc. are japanese honorifics. The Japanese are very sensitive when it comes to honorifics. Leaving out honorifics is only done when you're very familiar with someone. That's why he calls her Ayase-san, which translates to Miss Ayase, and her friends call her Momo. The use of the first name is a pretty big step, so even if you're familiar with someone, you might still use the last name + honorifics. -chan is a honorific when you're very fond of someone. And yeah, anime has changed quite a bit over the years. Nowadays it's flooded with isekai stories (where someone has been transported to another world), and not all of them are good. Back in the days, the godfather of anime was Dragon Ball, which fathered the next Big 3 in One Piece, Bleach and Naruto. Afterwards, many anime struggled to reach the status that those 3 achieved, with One Piece still ongoing, and Bleach and Naruto returning with new content (the Thousand Year Blood War arc, that is currently being animated for Bleach, and Boruto as the successor of Naruto). Some good anime to watch are: - The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei (though it would be beneficial to get to know a little bit more of Japanese culture beforehand) - Overlord (watch it. You'll love it.) - xxxHOLiC (gotta get used to the art style, but Clamp have created several classic series like X or Chobits) - Nurarihyon no mago

If you're interested in something completely different, watch (and maybe read) Dandadan ;) Season 1 has recently ended, and Season 2 will start in July. The manga is still ongoing. The Solo Leveling Manhwa is finished and should provide enough content for several more seasons, so hopefully they'll get to animate the whole series.

Yep, it's based on a Korean web comic and webtoon, so all the names are Korean, but the anime is made by a Japanese studio, so all the talking is in Japanese. This is one of the first webtoons to go really global, with a lot of people discovering it a 5 or so years ago when youtubers started reacting to the webtoon. It's probably the webtoon that got me into reading webtoons and not just manga. It's worth finding it online and catching up to where the anime is up to to see the little things here and there that have changed, then as each episode comes out after you've reacted to it, you can catch up with the few chapters that were covered within that episode, though warning that you might get addicted and keep reading past the point of the next episode and might just finish the whole series!

One Piece isn't perfect, the worst of it being the pacing in a lot of spots, but there is a magic about it that literally no other series can capture. At least, not any I have seen. I hope to see you branch out into making reaction videos for other anime as well. My top 3 favorite in order is Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. I think Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is the most well-written, well-rounded anime I've seen analyzed though.
