Holyangemon theme

He could probably beat average joe Megas (or weaker) but nowadays there are a huge number of Megas that could beat him with ease. I mean take any Royal Knight, Demon Lord, Olympus member, Ancient Warrior, Burst Mode, or any other high or top tier Mega, and he loses definitely.

Actually Myotismon wasn't a Champion, he was an Ultimate/Perfect, and a pretty strong one. Maybe you mean Devimon but honestly, Devimon was a big threat just because Chosen Children only had Champion Digimon at the time they fought him, and Devimon still had the power boost as well. If he had faced MetalGreymon or some other Ultimate, he would've lost horribly I think. That's because the Etemon arc showed that the power difference between a regular Champion and a regular Ultimate is usually huge. I mean, Etemon himself easily beat multiple Champion levels at once, but still was defeated by MetalGreymon even when he was amped. The same would, most probably, have happened to Devimon.

@@kassukazi Actually that isn't true. I just checked it and in the Finnish version, his info bar still shows that he's an "Ultimate Digimon" (meaning Perfect in the dub). kzbin.info/www/bejne/hoekhn2dfpaHgKc it shows in 1:14. Ofc, it could be that they were otherwise unclear with it because that dub is absolutely terrible.

@@kassukazi Okay, do you have any link about this? It just sounds very strange if they later claimed he was a Champion Digimon even though his introduction said he was an Ultimate, and he was punking several other Ultimates anyway. And logically it wouldn't make sense anyway because Myotismon was the villain after Etemon who was at Ultimate level himself. However, Adventure still followed the levels quite efficiently and there were no such insane exceptions like Lucemon. Not to mention that there were five Ultimate Digimon working even under Myotismon (Mammothmon, SkullMeramon, Phantomon, MegaSeadramon, Pumpkinmon) as well. 😄 Though yeah it can cause confusion that "Ultimate" is also the original name of the Mega level, so if they ended up using the original names later in the series that could be the reason I guess?

Yeah it would've been nice to see other Adventure Megas in 01, but I think this was still a good solution. In Adventure, Mega level Digimon were supposed to be very rare and they complied it very efficently. Although some of them still achieved this stage very randomly even in Adventure, especially Leomon. Etemon also was in my mind, but on the other hand, he had to spend so much time in Digital Limbo before that, so I think he deserved a Mega evolution after this.

That makes waaay more sense... shame tho since Angemon is so goddamn op

It is true. But the funny thing is that when Takeru is drowning in the episode that Ikkakumon digivolve, Patamon is helpless and closing his eyes. Patamon must have great discernment that Takeru won’t drown for sure and Ikkakumon will digivolve. I was wondering, Patamon could have just easily digivolve to save Takeru from drowning. That episode is really made for Joe and Zudomon.

@@adrianobones7277 but don’t forget that Holyangemon was an Ultimate level while Blackwargreymon was a Mega level, and still put a decent fight. It seems that Patamon’s digievolution is 1 level stronger than their own evolution level.

Yeah HolyAngemon was probably above 01 WarGreymon & MetalGarurumon via hax but 02 WarGreymon could surpass him, he fought long evenly with BlackWarGreymon but HolyAngemon didn't do so well. However MetalGarurumon didn't have much feats in 02 so I'm not entirely sure about him but if he was equal or slightly weaker than the 02 version of WG then the same applies to him.

Well he did the most important thing He saved everyone from piedmon reverting them back from being dolls and defeating piedmon the most powerful of the dark masters

@@adrianobones7277 Adventure 02 is a giant mess and that Skullsatamon fight was just ridiculous...

Yeah he didn't do much but he was the first Digimon that was able to give some sort of battle to BlackWarGreymon and only lost because of bad luck. Before him, BWG stomped everything with ease. And in comparison, BlackWarGreymon beat _twenty_ Mammothmons easily but he had more trouble with HolyAngemon. This was quite impressive because Mammothmon is also a Perfect Digimon like HolyAngemon, although Mammothmon is a low tier Perfect while HolyAngemon is a top tier Perfect.

Well Angemon/HolyAngemon as "Holy" types could be lot stronger against evil digimons like Devimon, Vamdemon or Piamom...they all had weakness to Holy types. But put them against any other type of digimon and they werent that strong...not that HolyAngemon even appears in original 2 series but only in 2 occations

@@Balnazzardi holy angemon would have defeated blackwargreymon easily, unless the crystal was broken. Holy digimons have always been respected by all other digimons.

@@Balnazzardi Angemon still easily beat Guardromon even without a named attack, and he fought evenly with Perfect level MetalMamemon until the latter got assistance from Giromon. So I would argue that he's a high tier Adult/Champion even without type advantage, I mean that Guardromon & MetalMamemon weren't Demon type Digimon. Although yeah, he's stronger with Holy advantage, mainly I pointed out that he's above average even without this adv.
