This is really wierd to me. Apple, IBM, Qualcomm, Snapdragon, and many more companies have designed their own processors all by themselves with little to no issues. From what it seems, its actually not that hard to create a decent modern processor given the money/talent. You dont need to cultivate it for years on years to catchup with intel or anything, you kinda just write the HDL? I dont know why Russia, even using the same process node Apple and the rest use, somehow cant catch up to companies who are basically noobs to the space.

I always thought that the Trabant was a good start for a low cost urban electric car. Forget about the styling, the low weight, small size, and no requirement to achieve speeds of 200 km/h would make for a car which could get 400km per charge. Interesting idea to have a Uzbek electric car industry.

When classifying the Russians regarding their roots, instead of asking whether they are really Slavic, I'd rather take a tissue sample of a Russian and check whether they even got mitochondrias. I refuse to believe that any previously classified sentient lifeform would not make any sound after a whole glass jar shattered inside one's colon, nor during the process of expelling said shattered glass jar.

At least they are independent, develop and build their own hardware, and develop for it. In Europe or the US they develop processor that they can't build. Taiwan produces it. Taiwan produces some elbrus too though, but for a country doing all this by themselves, it's impressive.

My understanding is that the reason the Soviet government did not release technical details of Gagarin's flight was that the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), which recognizes flying records, at that time required an aircraft to have the pilot in the machine when landing. Since Gagarin landed by parachute after exiting Vostok 1 at around 7,000 meters, there was fear that his flight would not be officially certified. The reason for using the parachute was that the Vostok spacecraft did not have a mechanism to reduce the force of the landing impact sufficiently so that the occupant could survive. As it turns out, the FAI actually changed its rules, which allowed it to certify the flight after all.

26:00 Maybe the thing with Zelensky is a bit exaggerated; nonetheless, there is a conspiracy theory in Poland that the Polish government was infiltrated by KGB agents who were swapped as doubles for other Polish generals and politicians during communist times and are still active in politics today. An interesting example would be the right-hand man of former President Jaruzelski, Czesław Kiszczak, who was buried in a Christian Orthodox cemetery and also had an Orthodox funeral-surprising, considering that his entire family was Polish.

Ilya Ivanov... Now there's a man guilty of abhorrent crimes. I think if someone went back in time and showed Darwin what people would do in the name of his theory, how it would become a justification for religious fanatics to perform atrocities, I think he would burn his book. Nazis are not the only ones to treat Darwin as a false god, and commit atrocities in his name.

That pioneer poem part, where you're not meant to read it aloud has reminded me of a forbidden 13th chapter of our Polish epopee "Pan Tadeusz", of which first 12 chapters are compulsory for primary school students. Why the 13th chapter is forbidden? Well, after the marriage in the 12th chapter which symbolises the end of a story the 13th one describes... uh, a very detailed description of consumption of said marriage. My university friends told me to read it, found it, wasn't disappointed AT all.
