Not the same model but same issue. I believe the drain port is clotted. Every brank of refrigerator seems to have this kind of problem. I am now searching videos on KZbin ...

I found the problem. The 8" copper pipe behind the faucet had a split, probably due to ice expansion. Entire spigot assembly (which includes the copper pipe) has now been replaced. Lesson from this for me: remove hose from spigot before freezing weather arrives. Maybe an insulated faucet cover would help as well.

I put covers on mine, I have for many years just to avoid that problem. Thanks. I did find a kit at Home Depot.. will be fixing soon.

@pashmee Жыл бұрын
I'm glad this helped. Sorry, I don't have a transcription of the flute part. I did this by ear. Maybe slow it down further via KZbin's slow playback feature and you can probably get all the notes. Best wishes. 👍

Mine was doing the same thing. I figures it was caused by a small crack in the pistol that create enough leak to loose the pressure so the motor would start to build the pressure, stop, loose pressure, start and so on. I am looking for a pistol replacement right now because I don't think my repair will last very long.

As I recall, a drain port at the back of the unit - at the top of the rear wall of the freezer cabinet - was plugged with ice. We replaced the refrigerator eventually due to ongoing trouble. I wish you the best getting yours fixed.

Thanks for this problem solving tip pashmee! I heated the connection to the filter housing for 2 minutes with a hair dryer set on low heat. The filter loosened from the filter housing but did not fully withdraw . Another 1 minute heating and it came off easily. Before installing the new filter I lubricated the connection with edible coconut oil.

This worked on a different refrigerator (below) but I see yours is different.. What I might do is get a screw-tighten steel hose-clamp (like old cars used for radiator tubing) and tighten it closer to the plastic connector... then use a screwdriver or other tool to lever the filter out - I think it's just a matter of breaking a suction seal.. (my guess) "I solved it by turning it to the left and using an audio cable (about 1/8" thick) and wrap it around the grooved area and squeeze the cable tight.. then it essentially popped right out"

I used a flat head screwdriver and just twisted and finessed the filter out. I don't think the seals were part of the problem I think it was the grooves were offs slightly.

I tried the hair dryer method previously and it worked. But not this time. I used the hair again today to heat up the housing. After the 6th attempt I put a flat screwdriver blade in the grove of the water filter and gently twisted it against the filter housing while pulling on the filter. The downward pressure of the screwdriver finally loosened the filter and I was able to extract it. Mind you, I had greased the O rings on this filter and grease was still intact. IMHO, this was just poorly engineered. Good luck my friends!

The heat gun on low for about 60 seconds worked for me too! It was a different Kitchen Aid refrigerator but the same general idea. I just pointed the heat gun near where it connects and moved it around for about 60 seconds so it wouldn’t get too hot. So glad I found this video!

Hola amigo!

This video is the closest I could find to my situation. Unfortunately, mine is an inside-the-fridge-box door that rotates upward. The door is stuck. Last time I replaced the filter I called the retail business where I bought the refrigerator and they told me to put more force on the plastic door. I did, not feeling very comfortable about the amount of force needed but it snapped open. This time I'm using all the force I can muster and it's not popping open. I could apply channel locks or vice grips but I really think I'll break the plastic. I can't believe how difficult it is to change the filter, something that has to be done regularly and certainly shouldn't require calling in a service technician.
@mcallkrm3 жыл бұрын
I decided to try a hair dryer aimed as close as I could to the plastic housing where I thought the water filter was seated into its receiving port. After 5 minutes or so the hatch released and I got the bloody thing out. The KitchenAid product service page has nothing useful for this problem. Thanks for the useful suggestion, all of you.
@dlind25773 жыл бұрын
I simply used a pair of channel locks to break the filter free. It was just crusty. I don't believe the filter had ever been changed when I bought the house. I tried to remove it by hand and it would only turn 1/4 turn. Did not cause any damage to the system. Did chew up the old filter a bit.

I almost forget, the original timbre was a real Clavinet used on superstition, so the model is D6 and the set is probably on DB (both pickups, in phase) and Alan sampled this on the old Fairlight CMI. I believe you can extract one WAV note from Clavinet samples like Scarbee Clavinet or better, the Clav from Soniccouture for Kontakt (yes!!). After this, you need to change some filters, probably the attack using some compressor with relation with the attack. This timbre looks like has a long attack at intro but short at final, and I believe there is a chorus effect too. You can create and config this in mono track whith stereo reverb at 129ms, and the delay pan hard rightn the mono track totally at left. Thank you again!

Thanks very much for the additional information. I was trying to point interested parties in the general direction based on my imperfect understanding of the sounds and settings, as I hadn't found a tutorial that tackled this. Your comments are very helpful and are a great addition.

Alan once a time said me ''The Sirius song was a triple note delay''. I don't know if he used a dotted eight note plus a quarter dotted eighth (1/8. + 1/4.). At least you can hear a 1/8. on the studio version. The 1/16 is set at 129ms (the same probably you used on this tutorial) is more use in live versions. I'm sorry my English, I'm a little bit rusty. if you know what he meant about ''triple note delay'' please comment below. Thank you very much, cheers!
