I think we need to always remember the golden rule when it comes to car accidents. If the car didn't crumple, the occupants did. Its physics. If the vehicle didnt absorb the shock of the accident, all of that kinetic energy has to go somewhere, and sadly, its often into the people who were inside of the vehicle.

Thanks for providing clear rationale as to why the anecdote of intentionally leaving a tow hitch on your vehicle to prevent damage in a rear end collision is probably a bad idea.

I messed up and gave a recorded statement. Its very hard being an honest person in these types of situations. I'm pregnant and they are going to total my car and I have 2 other babies. I need to be able to afford another vehicle, as I don't work being a stay at home Mother. My car was a wonderful car with low mileage, that I lost and have no way to get to my obstetrician appointments for my pregnancy. I also have a high risk pregnancy and have special appointments to make every week. I'm so lost snd scared. Idk what to do or what to say. I don't have any money.

What if a sheriff ran into the back of my friends car while they were in the building and I was still in the car. I was a passenger. The sheriff headlights were busted up with the glass on the floor from the headlights I flew around in the car and I had no past back problems however after the accident my back knack and left leg was hurting so bad & still does I got injections but my disc went from 3cm to 6cm so I had to get surgery. My friend was legally parked too. I just did my deposition on video and go to see a expert doctor the other side hired next week do you think they won’t give me any money they haven’t made 1 offer at all yet I’m getting worried because my back still hurts and the cop hit my friends car while she was legally parked he just ran into the back of it and he was not on a high speed chase or any type of emergency call

The claims adjuster is trying to say that me seeing a neuro-ophthalmologist had nothing to do with my eye injury from a cell phone device that exploded in my face. Her first offer was $5,000

I was involved in hazmat Tanker truck accidents. Fuel Tanker truck that's carrying petroleum. I was on far right lane and truck driver was in my left lane. He wasn't looking on his convex mirrors to see if I was on his blind spot on his right side, so he merged into my lane. Causing my car to go over the sidewalk and totaling my car. Good thing the truck driver stopped. I immediately called the police and they got the truck driver for unsafe lane change (at-fault). I went to an injury lawyer to handle this case and they scheduled me to go to an chiropractor and the chiropractor set me for a MRI which revealed that I got a herniated disc on my lower spine with sciatica caused by the accident. I'm going into my 3rd month of chiropractor treatment and going to a pain specialist. You think I'll get huge settlement from this? And also, this is not his personal semi-truck, it's a company own truck.

Great video. Keep em coming I was hit by a Penske fright liner 18 wheeler back in January and it totaled my pickup truck. luckily I didn’t get badly hurt but I sustained some terrible neck & upper back pain took a couple months to feel better got my treatment I needed and I have a lawyer but insurance is just taking there sweet time in my case. These videos have great info to help people when they get in a bad situation.
