I spent so much time trying to emulate peters playing on Shrine 69’. I did well but never came this close. Bravo!

You are one of 2 guys ive ever heard nail both the tone and phrasing of Green. The PAFs are key to this sound. If you put normal humbuckers out of phase you cannot get Green tone. You get out of phase tone but it just isnt the same.

Hey Larry what is the name of the adaptor you used on the drill press while tapping the post holes? Thanks.
@LarryCorsaFaberUSA2 ай бұрын
It's the BSWKIT.
@StephenBe2 ай бұрын
@ Okay, that’s the kit I bought. I’m asking about your drill press setup to thread the insert hole. It looks like you have the tap in the chuck but it also looks like you have an adaptor around chuck which allows you to turn while you press and drive the tap. Is there a name for the drill press adapter/tool?
@LarryCorsaFaberUSA2 ай бұрын
@@StephenBe Sorry, I don't remember the name of the adapter. It's been so long ago that I bought it.

What gauge strings do you use.I’m using 11 to 52 but i think that might be too heavy. Loved the lesson

I just tried this on the bridge bushings with the bolt in my Faber kit and they didn't budge. And I didn't want to keep cinching down on the bolt because I'm afraid its going to split the back of the guitar. This is Justin from LA if you read this, Larry. Just ordered some E-serts from the Xmas sale.

Does this fit a inspired by Gibson Epiphone ES 335?
@michaelworse6034 Жыл бұрын
For sure . You may need the metric inserts for Asian guitars , for a conversion to 4mm studs . Now you can use the ABRM or ABR1 bridge of every kind . Same with the tailpiece bushings . You‘ll need the ones for Asian made guitars .

Sweet tone. I'm buying an '04 SG Faded today that has Corsa Manalishi pickups in it. I'm not sure if they came stock or they were added afterwards. I hope they sound this good.

This is an overlooked upgrade for low price/high value guitars. Just finished my third guitar fully upgraded on faber bushings /tailpiece/bridges.

Brilliant. I've just got myself an epiphone les paul after being a strat player since I was 14. They are a very cool guitar with lots of overtones and amazing sustain. I plan on fitting switches to it to reverse phase of the pickups so I can get those more trebley tones. I only just got the thing this morning so I'll familiarise myself with it a bit first and get to know the les paul. It's a £200 guitar and I am really happy with the finish quality, and the way it plays. I need to sort my old 93 jap squier HSS strat out; it has a few flat looking frets and some digs from strings in some of the frets. There are a lot of differences between the les paul and the strat in the way they sound and play, that I didn't really expect. I might have to experiment with different pots or different capacitors on the pots of the les paul to see if I can get more of a range of tone from it. But as I say I haven't even had it for 24 hours yet and I should be able to tune myself into it.

Why is the video aspect ratio wrong? lol you're kind of squashed down and stretched sideways.

The extraction tool, using only hand pressure, blew through the maple cap in my guitar. There must be a chamber underneath. I got it out using a big round nut that went outside of the insert that the wing nut pressed against. When I installed the kit, I had a lot of weird buzzing. Not sure if the pressure of extracting the insert caused some components to shift slightly.

That’s a concern I have. Mine is chambered and is exquisite. It’s got a Nashville bridge and I want a abr-1 style bridge. The one that’s on it now is tone pros regular chrome, it doesn’t have the brilliance of the ABR1 on my other Les Paul. I have to ask the guy I bought it from which one he put on there because it is noticeably brighter and more pronounced and very airy and balanced. Professional Vs. heavily muted. What’s the best? I’ve heard and seen disasters from yanking posts out and hammering new ones in, not knowing if the holes drilled are the same depth or not. Hammer one in and if it doesn’t reach the bottom, then what the F would one dooo? 😊

Sure has the zeppelin tone unless that's coming from your hands.. either way it sounds close to the 59s. And for a fraction.
