Great info on the one world classic rtw award. I am across most of the t&cs but one question I had was: am I allowed to fly back home to Melbourne for 5-6 months halfway through my rtw itinerary (I also would have left from Melbourne) if I pay for it on a completely separate ticket? I am retired so I would like to take advantage of the full 12 month duration. So, for example, my first flight would be melb to Bangkok, then on to Vietnam. But then I would just fly back to melb for 6 months on my own dime, then fly back to Vietnam on my own dime and then recommence my rtw ticket. Qantas would not even know that I had done this. What do you think?

They do not tell you that if you are travelling from sydney you will find a FULL lounge we traveled 6 months after the business class lounge was opened and as for a shower there was over a 2 hours wait. looks good on the staged video but they do not care
