7:01 Great video. Wish i saw it before doing this procedure yesterday. 2 questions...when bleeding the air from the system, where does the air go? Into the reservoir? Second, i got oil from the right overflow hole but never from the left one. I ended up adding oil into the left hole with a syringe. Still never got oil to the proper level. Left overnight and the oil in the reservoir never dropped. Went thru bleeding air procedure again, mower seems to behave properly. I wonder why the level did not drop if there was insufficient oil in the gear box.
@PowerEquipmentManКүн бұрын
It is normal for it to take longer to get oil to run out of the air bleeder on one side than the other. You need to keep waiting until it does. If it doesn't then you have issues somewhere (restricted filler hose?). Any trapped air has to work its way out the fill hose into the reservoir. This usually happens while the machine is running and the oil is warm. It is not going to do much just sitting. After servicing, we usually let them sit outside and run for awhile to get up to temp, then drive them around. Park it and check it the next day (after the oil cools down). Thanks for watching.

Jonas.... Just looked at my front wheel alignment........The driver side wheel is basically vertical,,,however the rider side wheel is tilted in at the top by about 7/8".... Is this because the link is bent? Looking forward to getting the body kit that i ordered recently
@PowerEquipmentMan3 күн бұрын
A bent link would not effect the camber of the tire, only the toe. The only way to adjust the camber is with camber adjustable shocks. Unless you are having tire wear issues due to the camber, I wouldn't recommend trying to change it if you don't have to. Camber adjustable shocks are a little expensive and can be a pain to install/adjust.

@ Ty…. I took the tires off and measured a number of different ways and all measurement were equal. I put the tires back on and remeasured and the issue was not there. Oh, well, will drive for awhile and keep an eye on it On another note…. The body kit was attempted to be delivered today but we had NO call ahead notice as requested and we were not here I replied to delivery text and to the order notice about this What now?

This spring I am going to try the Gator blades. I normally rotate 3 sets of John Deere mulching blades and hand sharpen them every winter. I am trying to reduce the size of clippings and the thatch build up on our lawn. The Gator blades I bought says they are a direct replacement for my mower, but sadly I discovered I had to cut out several sections on the mulch deck in order to not have interference issues. Thanks again for all the great info. Just a thought, could you add a couple rubber spring spacers on each shock to help extend the springs? I know this is kind of a band-aid, but it may work if you have a minor negative camber issue at a fraction of the cost. If so, any idea what size spacers you would use? Thanks.

@PowerEquipmentMan19 күн бұрын
Check the safety switches at the bottom of the control levers. If your levers aren't fully depressing the switch when they are in the outward position, it won't crank. This was a common issue. They just have to adjusted so they are getting fully depressed. If that isn't the issue, you will have to do some testing with a volt meter to see if you are getting power to the small wire on the starter solenoid when you turn the key.

Hey Jonas. I have a 2019 Yamaha lifted golf cart with only 38 hours on it and the while driving at top speeds i hear what sounds like a slight grinding sound that goes on and off like a long heart beat. Any ideas what that is? Also, the steering has loud squeaking when turning at slow speeds, any idea what that is? I've watched most of your Yamaha videos over the years and have maintained it as you said to do but I cannot for the life of me figure out these two issues. Thank you for you help.
@PowerEquipmentMan23 күн бұрын
I'm guessing that both of the issues you are experiencing are related to the lift kit. Check the rear axles to see if they are hitting on the frame. Do your front spindles have grease zerks?
@shawnb67923 күн бұрын
@@PowerEquipmentMan I never new the sindles had fittings. Do i just pack them full or limit the pumps? There's such a distance from the wheels and tires from the body that there's no rubbing on the wheels or tires. It's only at the higher speeds do you hear the slight pulsating friction sound. I added extra greese to the clutches like an extra 3 pumps thinking they were just low causing this, do you think that's too much grease on the clutches? Thanks for all your help!
@PowerEquipmentMan23 күн бұрын
@@shawnb679 Depending on the brand a type of lift kit you have, you may or may not have grease fitting on your spindles. If you do, you can grease them until they are full. On the rear end, you need to get on the ground under the cart and look at your AXLES, not the tires. Your axles could be rubbing on the frame next to the transaxle mounts.

Yes, it is possible to over-grease them. There really isn't any good way to tell. Only apply one pump of grease every time you change your engine oil, which should be every 50 to 100 hours or at least once per year.

@PowerEquipmentManАй бұрын
The tires in this video are a 20x10-10. You can usually clear a 20" tall tire with minimum rubbing. If you have a rear seat, you might need our heavy duty rear shocks that are slightly longer than the stock ones. They give you about an 1" more clearance. For street tires, we do a 215/50-12 or 215/40-12 with a rear seat.

I just bought a used one lifted with only 29 hours on it but I just noticed that the under plate that's under the engine and the muffler tip are not there. I assume they took it off either when it was lifted or when they installed side steps or to service the engine and never put it back on. Is that a problem? Also, can i just run an exhaust extension from the muffler to the very back without any issues? Do you recommend that or just buying the new replacement parts?

Will this clutch kit help with a 2007 yamaha ydra, secondary clutch, retaining washers is falling off getting sheared out.
@PowerEquipmentMan2 ай бұрын
Usually when the secondary clutch bolt is getting sheared off, that means that too much slide load is getting applied to the secondary clutch. This can be caused by a clutch alignment issue, or a clutch that isn't functioning properly. If your cart still has the old TEAM clutches, they definitely need to be replaced with the new style FBT clutches, like what is shown in this video. If you already have the FBT clutches, your secondary clutch may not be opening correctly due to lack of lubrication, or being worn out.
