Nowhere on my machine does it describe itself as an Atlantis or Neptune Dryer. It says it is a model #MDE9606AYW Intellidry 6 cycle, but that model number does not match up with any KZbin repair instructions. Instead it looks identical to the Atlantis/Neptune model dryer discussed in this repair instructions. When I dry clothes, I get in the habit of turning the drum clockwise to check for any remaining clothes. This last time I spun the drum counter clockwise, which released the belt from the tensioner. Lesson learned. I really appreciate your repair instructions, as they were incredibly helpful. You are a good man.

I repaired my dryer by myself for $8.99 thanks to this video! All it needed was a new belt. Once the dryer was disassembled it was easy to spot the problem, order a new belt & put the dryer back to gather again. I also did a deep cleaning & de-linting of the whole thing while it was taken apart. Dryer up & running as beautifully as always once again! Videos like these are the best thing about social media - Thank you!

All I need to fix is the door catch. It looks like a lot of parts to remove just to get to it.

I found the same thing. I checked the belt and it was in good shape. I took off the pulley wheel and inspected it as well. I noticed the Blue Thread Lock that holds the nut supposedly secure was mostly gone. I cleaned the threads, nut and wheel with alcohol and a toothbrush. I added a flat washer and Blue Thread Lock. It worked for over 2 months. Unfortunately this washer was only about 2 years old. Currently I'm going to try a nylon threaded nut and more thread lock.
@dan9002Ай бұрын
Update: After careful inspection of all the parts being tight I removed the non functioning nylon guard. Pending use a months use I'm going to wait on replacing any new parts. 🙏

Is there a video that shows how to put it back after diagnosing? 😊

Mine starts but it starts to smell like something is burning and then it shuts off. The breaker isn't tripping so I know it's not electrical at the outlet. I took it apart to what I could and then put everything back.

Perfect! Thank you so much. And I found the source of the awful noise. Little rare earth magnets and a wood screw stuck to the drums edge. A bit of cleaning and it's good as new. Thank you for your wonderful instructions

Having a transmission and drive shaft connect to the tub is a very poor overcomplicated design of a washing machine. The belt should simply attach to the tub itself. Whirlpool owns 70% of the appliance market and every appliance is now made in Mexico at the same manufacturing plant. The insides are identical with the outer frame and badge being all that is different. Sometimes the board and buttons are different in their location, but operation of the machines are the same. Just fyi. And Mexico is not known for having a High Quality Control of their manufacturing processes. Only U.S. washers and dryers - Speed Queen. Well worth the money.

Now my dryer decided to stop turning on my last load of clothes, ugh. So hope this is it because I had a simple repair on it one other time, 350$$$$$$$$$$$ wont do that again, just buy a new one, THEY DONT MAKE ANYTHING LIKE THYE USED TO!!!!!!

MAYTAG 3.5 cu. ft. Commercial-Grade Residential Agitator Washer Maytag MVWP575GW Hope this message helps you out… Me and my parents have bought this model, and it has been 100% reliable for around 5 years. I bought the set with matching drier, and haven’t had any issues with drier either. Good luck…. There’s a lot of junk sold these days. PS: Another model that some say is even more durable than the Maytag model I referenced is Speed Queen TC5 Top Load Washer

Thank you for the tutorial. I saved my folks a service call with a replacement of a thermal fuse. I will also replace the timer soon as well as ours is worn out.
@tombanes8 ай бұрын
Thanks for the tutorial. There was a loud tick every revolution of the drum . I thought something was slapping the side of the body of the dryer. When opened, thanks to you, I found that one of the screws ,that hold the “paddles” that are on the inside of the drum, backed itself out almost an inch and was now hitting the inside of the side of the body of the dryer.

I need your help. I am up here in communist Canada and my Kenmore 90 series dryer is not starting. I first checked the circuit breaker and it’s fine. I noticed the door switch was no longing clicking and just dangling and the light in dryer would not come on when I opened it. So I replaced it. Dryer still would not start. I tested the thermal fuse with multimeter and it was unclear so I replaced it and still the dryer would not start. I tested the start button and it is working. Is it fair to assume the terminal/electrical port is fine bc the light comes in when I open the door so there is power to the dryer? What else could it be? Help

Thanx for taking the tine to make this teaching video. If I would add anything, it would be a reassembly video. The fact that the 2 front pieces with the wiring are separate pieces caused me a little trouble during the reassembly. That way, you could add some points about how to handle the drum and tucking the padding in properly. However, it was still an excellent video and I am very grateful.
