It's a bitch to get on. Taking off no problem. I took off the o ring and works z treat but does it maintain the pressure for oil circulation.

Hi, Thanks for commenting, my take is the oil pressure light comes on when the oil pressure is to low and it’s the oil pump that provides the pressure to the system.

Sorry to bother, but I followed your tutorial on my 08 XL1200C to add a charging port and for some reason it 1) won't keep up with charging my phone even though it shows it on super fast charge and 2) will stop charging for a few seconds then turn back on. The charger is fused and seems to work until it hits about 10 minutes. Any suggestions?
@Bikervation
@Bikervation Ай бұрын
Hi and thanks for watching. This would be my take on your situation, if you have hard wired (as I did) into a switched 12v wire in the loom and the rest of the bike works as it should then I think one could assume the 12v to the charging unit is stable. So I would check the connection to the charging unit in case it was making intermittent contact causing the supply to drop out or I would think the charging unit itself was the culprit. If it’s not keeping up with your phone it suggests the unit isn’t supplying sufficient current (Amps) and is working at its full capacity and after 10 mins gets hot and cuts out. Hope that helps, Chris

What’s the gear we have to leave the bike to to this service?
@Bikervation
@Bikervation 2 ай бұрын
It’s not clear to me what you’re asking? If you’re asking what tools do you need to replace the clutch I can’t give you a list. The very best thing you can do is get a workshop manual for your year and read up on changing the clutch, it should tell you what’s needed. One indispensable tool is a clutch spring compressor a bit pricey but these can be made, there’s lots of KZbin videos on clutch tools. Hope that help a little, Chris
@rodrigomorais8302
@rodrigomorais8302 2 ай бұрын
Thank you Chris. I bought one compressor from Amazon. But I think it didn’t do the work properly, because the spring plate wasn’t loose enough to let me take off the rings. That’s why I thought if I put the bike on 3rd or 4th gear before I loose the clutch cable if It would be easier to put that pressure on the spring plate to make it loose. Anyways, I think I have to buy a properly tool for this service. Thank you
@Bikervation
@Bikervation 2 ай бұрын
@@rodrigomorais8302 Sorry I misunderstood your question. I agree the tool from Amazon is not very well made, I had to file the face of the spinning nut (thing with the handles) square with the body of the clamp. Also it was a bit more difficult than I thought but was being careful not to brake the spring. I don’t think there is any need to put the bike in gear as you hold the bit that would spin with a spanner. I just looked at that bit again on my video and can’t think of a better way of describing it. Del boy’s garage has some good videos on the sportster clutch that would be worth watching. Good luck, Chris

You needed a 1/4" torque wrench with swivel bit to get to the three 7/16 (silver) bolts and bolt down the rocker box. I'm guessing you were using a 3/8", which just won't get in there because of its size.

Hi, Thanks for watching. Very happy with the SE clutch, it just feels like more power is getting to the back wheel, and I’m SO pleased I got rid of the spring plate - that was going to cost some money had I not found it. If you don't use the stock O Ring it is going to leak. When you are running down the highway oil is going to come out. The groove where the O Ring is sitting in is out of round. Take file and go around the groove to get rid of the out of round. I have done a lot of these. No leaks and easy to take off.

How does it look on your PC before you upload it vs what it looks like on KZbin? I imagine you are losing a lot of bitrate once on KZbin as it is using their low quality codec. If you record it at the 1080/50 and then render it at 2.7k/50 with the same bitrate, it won't be any larger a file size than if it was still 1080, but when it goes onto KZbin, you'll get the VP9 codec which is much better and it will look a lot closer to how your original edited video looks before putting it on YT. Bike sounds great mate, and what a lovely day to play bikes 🙂
