Hi Chris, I have a couple of Terry Brooks and Strange LPs, Translucent World and To Earth With Love. Translucent World, I had a hard time with his voice on that one, but To Earth With Love was much better, both albums contain some great guitar work. I haven't heard the Raw Power LP, but I will check it out. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these cool albums, and hope you have a great Christmas!🎅

Terry Brooks and Strange are one of those outsider records where I think the appeal is his bizarre take on psych. He can't really sing and he's obsessed with soloing. Definitely not for everyone. Can't say I'm a fan, but I respect the oddity of it.

I am loving the guitars on that album but that voice, well…let’s say it’s not my favorite. Very cool album Chris.

Does anyone have one (or many) of the sticker from Terry and Strange that said “Get Some Strange” then in small letters “to earth with love”. Not a vinyl sticker, more of a paper with adhesive backing. Just black on white paper. I did around a decade on a small non commercial FM radio station in Vermont in the 70’s and early 80’s and one day this album arrived in the mail. It got a real lot of airplay. Of course the sticker went straight onto my car. Somewhere I still have around a half of it, but would love to get a couple/few more.

Kirk is a wellspring of creativity at the piano and composition. He is an exceptional teacher as well, a standout influence in my life and by far the most refreshing patient luminary in the academia I was exposed to during my time in NYC.

Chris, Nurock's version of ''Giant Steps'' is fantastic, he offers an ''exploded view'' of the piece, he takes it apart and rearranges it, to come up with something ''brand new''. Kirk's piano playing reminds me of Duke Ellington's amazing keyboard stylings with it's hints of Ragtime, Stride and Chopin. Thank you for introducing me to Nurock and the Adamo label. Nurock's resume is very impressive, he wrote a piece, ''Listening Bach'', for Orchestra, Narrator, Chorus, 4 dogs and 8 guinea pigs!!!

Chris, awesome video, you have a great Sky Saxon collection. Mars Bonfire and Sky Saxon are definitely, two of the best pseudonyms in the history of Rock n' Roll! I dug side one and side two, I am inspired to grab a cd reissue. Sky Saxon worked with the Captain Trip label on the release of the 13 cd box set of Yahowha recordings titled, '' God And Hair''. My pal, Jim bought that box when it first came out, in 1998, I wish I owned it too. Sky, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson, died on the same exact day, June 25, 2009.

Acid archives diaries is alive and well! I look forward to seeing the next four. This one was great. Sky was a lot older than I thought he was....he would have been 28 when the Seeds released Pushin' Too Hard. Chris, my favorite was the Ian Matthews cover version. The first disco version you played was okay, but not as good as Donna Summer's disco version of ''MacArthur Park''. Speaking of ''groovin'', yesterday I went to a thrift store and a record store, my main target was the new Hendrix box.'' Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision''. The box is of course, more music for groovy children! I enjoyed Robert Plant's cover of ''Darkness, Darkness'' and Mott The Hopple's version of the tune is another good one.
